i have been called for NIFT counselling with rank 7 in obc for B.Ftech. Does it have good placements and would it be a better choice than uptu colleges

If you have received a call from the National Insitute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) for counselling for the B.FTech.course, you should lap it up without second thoughts. Post completion of the course, you will have employment opprtunities with renowned brands like Pantaloons, Gini & Jony, ITC LRBD, Color Plus, Celebrity Fashions and the like. Vidya Institute of Fashion Technology, Meerut, the only Fashion Technology college affiliated to the Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), too promises placements with big export/fashion houses but it can be safely said that with NIFT, the placement options will be better.

You have not said whether you have an offer at UPTU college.


If you are really interested in building career in Fashion Technology, then NIFT is the best place.
Anyway, It is better you go for NIFT, in my view.

nift is no 1 institute of india ......it has good placement also............

i secured 959 rank and called for counselling. i hope i would get any new open colleges in nift i.e., nift kangra , mohali etc

is the placement at NIFT is affected by centers

I would like to ask is there any age limit for entrance of pg programmes in NIFT. I am a professional work experience of 7 yrs though i have inclination for fashion and interior designing want to know can i go for NIFT pg courses if any age limit in not there

dear sir/mam, i have done my b.tech in 2010 and my final year result is waiting, i have placen in a company with package of 1.80 lakh. I have also given nift exam. M.ftech and got 86 rank and get waitlisted.... I don't able to decide wether i take admission n nift or not. Can there be a better package. Kndly suggest me

after doing m ftech you get 4.5 lakhs per annum avg pakage.i think that will be better.but remember for doing management courses u need to be confident with your economic conditions weather it be iim or m ftech

i have got addmission in nift kolkata.my uptu rank is 24000 nd in girls 3900. can u help me if i should go for its councelling or not.
with this rank can i get a good college although my councelling is scheduled on the third day(17th july).

Definitely you will get better placement after doing master programme from nift

yes NIFT is considered as the reputed institutes.
so the placements is very good of this institute and many company visits the college campus for the campus placements and also they provides better salary package.

Yes, friend NIFT is batter in placement than UPTU college. The placement cell of NIFT is very good. It give 100% placement every year. If you selected in NIFT then don't miss it.

m doing b.fTech frm axis institute of fashion n technology which is recently opened n affiliated to uptu n at present tym m in 2nd sem n i got 91% in ma 1st sem.........
so plz will u sugest me dat can i continue wid it or join nift.....as i had also cleared nift n go 4 councelling last year after ma 12th but i droped it due to sum tragedy.

whatever u take it seems u vent performed better whatever the case go in for a private college and get a degree then i recommend u work hard MBA through CAT. this is one of the best course u can take with ur current situtaion. whatever it is its ur life make ur own decisions and chase ur dreams the way u want.
