now i am studying in 12th class from commerce steam. i interested in banking job but i don't know that what should i do for banking job after 12th class?
so please tell me what should i do after 12th class?

You have to complete graduation for finding a banking job. Graduation can be obtained in any of the subjects that interest you. Along with graduation, you can prepare for bank exams. Self preparation or coaching centre training can be selected for studies. Questions on QA, reasoning, GK, etc will be asked for bank exams.

can i do graduation and banking together after 12?

is it necessary to do B.com computer application to do banking course after that?

If you really are interested in banking job then start preparing for the graduation. After gradaution there are opportunities in the government sector as well private sector but with your current qualification, the chances are limited.

You will not get to apply for wide range of jobs after completing 12th standard only. It does not matter what subjects you had taken. 12th standard alone can not get you enough job opportunities.

The only option is to apply for SBI Clerk entrance exam. But I should point out that government has issued recommendation to all the public sector banks to change the criteria for Clerk job from 12th standard to graduation degree.

Institute of Banking Personnel Services, which conducts the entrance exam for other 20 Public Sector Banks has already implemented the recommendation of the government. State Bank of India is also likely to do the same.

But till that time, you can apply for the SBI Clerk entrance exam.


SBI Clerk Eligibility

1. State Bank of India only hires Indian citizens.

2. You should have passed 12th standard.

3. With minimum of 60 percent marks.

4. Graduation degree holders are also eligible.

5. There is no percentage criteria for graduates.

6. You should have minimum of 6 months duration certificate in Computers.

7. 18 to 28 years is the age limit for SBI Clerk.

8. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC.

9. The relaxation is 5 years for SC and ST.

10. There is 10 years relaxation for PWD.

i got 75%marks in 12th so please tell me what are i am doing for banking job...

dear student

as you are in class 11th and you want to go for banking jobs after passing class 12th,

though you don't have much choices but the only option which you have is sbi clerk exam,

eligibility for sbi exam :

must be 12th passed from a recognized board

must have score minimum 60% in 12th

age limit is 18-28 years

3 year relaxation for obc students

5 year relaxation for sc/st students

pattern of exam :

general awareness
general English
reasoning
logical aptitude
computer knowledge

but go for graduation then you will get a wide scope for banking exams, because sbi and conducts po exam s and ibps clerk exams for which minimum educational requirement is graduation

I had completed my 12 from commerce stream and scored 67% marks .
Now as per the above mentioned in favour of SBI , it is said that all the banks have changed there entrance criteria , means all the posts except Peon , has to be filled after completing graduation but SBI had not changed it till now , so if iI will applied for clerck exam after my 12 exam . Now I am doing BBA 1st yr.

It is good that you want to make your entry into Banking sector soon after completion of your 12th class in Commerce stream.

But unfortunately, this academic qualification is not sufficient in making you eligible to apply for job opportunities in Banking sector.

The entry level positions in various banks are
-Clerical positions
-Probationary Officers

In order to apply for Clerk jobs in banks, the minimum academic qualification that is required for the candidates is Graduation.

But to apply for PO positions, one should have completed Graduation with a minimum of 60% of marks.

The required age criteria will be
20-28 years for the candidates of General category.
Relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category and upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category.

The selection procedure would involve
Written Exam
Interview

For all the public sector banks, IBPS is conducting Common written exams separately for the recruitment of above mentioned positions.

The written exam consists of questions from the following categories
Reasoning
Numerical Ability
General Awareness
Computer Knowledge
General English

If you get through written test, you will be called for Interview and then you will be given job opportunity.

So, opt for the Graduation in the stream in which you are interested and start preparing for bank exams from the 2nd year of your Graduation itself.

Hi,

The bank has changed the minimum qualification for attending the bank exam as degree passed with minimum pass percentage of 50 and above.

So you have to finish a degree with good score and after that you have to clear IBPS examination through which you can enter into any nationalized bank.

You can apply for banking job after completing graduation in any discipline.After pursuing 12th you are not eligible for banking job.

After pursuing graduation degree you will have to appear entrance exam conducted by IBPS .

IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personal Service.

Eligibility Criteria:- You must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

Age Criteria:- 21 to 30 years.

You should have also a computer certificate.
