Re: How to get a job in the Bank?
the entry level of banks are clerks and probationary officers. for clerks intermediate is the eligibility and for po's graduation with any branch. you need to have a minimum of 50%. but this may vary from one bank to other.
all the banks recruit people by conducting written test. Later the qualified people for written test will be called for the interview. for written test, the syllabus 1.Reasoning 2.Quantitative aptitude 3.computer awareness 4.General awareness 5.General english inorder to get through written test, you have to qualify in each of these sections. 1/4 will be negative marking for most of the banks |

After 12th standard you have to apply for clerk grade in bank.
After graduation level you hve to apply for P.O. These forms are available at bank's site or your nearest distributer. |

Re: How to get a job in the Bank?
HI!
If you possess any professional qualification relating to bank or finance then you can join a bank as a specialist officer like IT officer, law officer, HRD officer etc. But if you are a simple graduate then you can join a bank either as a clerk or PO. Selection to these posts are conducted in two phase: written test GD/PI The pattern of exam & syllabus for both the post are almost same, only the level differs. For selection in bank you must have good command over GK & current affairs. You can refer these books/magazines for your preparation: quantitative aptitude - r.s.agarwal current affairs - pratiyogita darpan verbal & non verbal reasoning - r.s.agarwal |

HELLO,you want to join banking sector.nice, there are several chances to get in a bank via exam.we start from clerk, for clerical exam there is no compulsion of your subject background & you can apply even if you belongs to science field.just keep look at the clerical exams conducted by individual banks for their branches.e.g.state bank , icici, canara bank etc.and for the other posts like po,branch manager , manager if one belongs to the commerce field then it's more beneficial or we can say there is a priority the commerce background.so chose as per yor stream.remember nothing is impossible even impossible itself says that i'm possible.BEST OF LUCK.
