Iam a student of grade 12 in cbse and have chosen bio math as my stream. I would like to know more about biotechnology as a career and its scopes in India and abroad. Is it better to do genetic engineering, or first complete biotech. and then post graduate in genetics?

Biotech is a research oriented course. so one who want to continue his career as researcher can opt for this.. as of now the industries are very less in biotech and if u want to work in industry also ..for biotech options are available onli at R&D depart... you can do biotech at ug and some specialization at pg and the same related in phd and go for post doc...this is present scenerio... no hopes for biotech in india...do atleast pg from abroad with a mindset of settling there... these are based on current suitations prevails in india ..for a change in biotech in india, u ve to wait for another 20years in india,...

my sincere advice is to quit the idea of doin biotechnology or anything related to it unless and until u can take up your mind to do Ph.D or clear UGC NET...coz me too a research scholar in biotechnology nly........There are nly a very few emerging scopes for biotech in india compared to abroad. if then too if your aim is to do biotech then prefer well standard colleges and be skilled in all the techniques of biotechnology so that u can get consideration.another the chance is very less..thankyou

i m a mbbs student.i always wnt to do fesearch in genetics feild... After knowing the present poor condition of scope in india, i decided to do mbbs to secure my future....... But even today, same problem is there in india with biotech scope. Suggest me institution i should go for after mbbs for pursuing genetic research feild with handsum salary as i m from poor family.... Also give me suggestion regsrding this

it has good career both in india and abroad too, but if u wud say me to opt , i will prefer u abroad as it is very demanded their, and it would be better and more scopable if u wud go for genetics as specialiisation in post graduation...

interests like

research in this field in india because they can get human resources & brilliants for a

less amount of money,for them its a less amount of money,but for us its a huge

salary.so go ahead.the four fields which have a great future are bio-tech,nano

tech,computer science & chemical enginering.

M.Sc in Biotechnology

1:M.Sc in Biotechnology,Eligibility:

you should have a bachelor’s degree under 10+2+3 pattern with minimum 55% marks in one of the

Physical, Biological, Agricultural, Veterinary & Fishery Sciences,
or
Pharmacy,
or
Engineering/Technology,
or
4-Years B.S. (Physician Assistant course);
or
MBBS
or
BDS .

2:M.Sc in Agriculture;Biotechnology;Eligibility :

you should have a bachelor’s degree under 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+5 pattern of education with minimum 55% marks or its equivalent grade point average from any recognized university.

i have finished my 12th of group biomaths and hope of getting above 90% i dont want to do medical as it costs heavily and i want to do engineering B.E. or B.tech suggest me some courses which has good scope

i have completed my biotechnology studies i.e. m a biotech engg. but now no company offers a job for us..we are thriving lyk anything.. no scope in india.. every company asks for graduate to b m.tech n ph.d.. so i want to know that i am a middle class family girl..how can i manage to find a job in foreign for better career.

i m also biotechnology student....i have complete in 2nd year...but which types of job ?n how is it mba biotecnology......plz suggest
