Hello sir i am dorjii tamang from darjeeling my question is that i am about to join physiotherapy from next month and i have completed my isc and i dont have any idea about this course and for the further studies?

The bachelor's degree on physiotherapy is a 4.5 years' duration course which ocuses on the use of physical therapy, massages, physical movements and exercise to improve and cure injuries, deformities and diseases. Unlike the traditional branches of medicine, physiotherapy doesn’t rely extensively on the use of drugs and medicine.

It teaches important skills and techniques that are used to practice physiotherapy treatment like exercise therapy, physical therapy, electro therapy and so on. On successfully completing this degree you will get DPT (Doctor of Physiotherapy) Degree.

To do this course you need to have science stream at 10+2 level ie, Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects. At least 50% of marks in aggregate or more is required to get admission in a college of a recognized university.

After completion of the final year examination, successful students have to go through 6 months of internship. A BPT degree holder can work as a Physiotherapist, Rehabilitation specialist, Consultant, Sports physiotherapist, Lecturer and Research professional. Work is available in the following sectors:

• Government hospitals
• Private Hospitals/Clinics
• NGOs
• Sports teams/Frachises
• Gyms/Fitness Centres
• Rehabilitation clinics

Hello! I live in Maharashtra, if i complete my 12th from ISC then is neet required to apply for orthopedic physiotherapy??
