After qualifying 10+2 examination, you may appear for Joint Entrance Examination, conducted by The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), for not more than 2 times. The maximum number of attempt has been fixed upto two for candidates belonging to every category including General category, OBC category, SC/ST category etc.

As far as eligibility criteria is concerned, candidates belonging to General and OBC category must have qualified 10+2 level of examination with a minimum of 60% marks. The required percentage of marks is relaxed upto 5% for candidates belonging to SC/ST category.
The maximum age limit for candidates belonging to General as well as OBC category is 25 years, whereas, for SC/ST category candidates, the maximum age limit is 30 years.

Yes you still have a chance for IIT JEE since you passed your 12th this year...but since it is IIT JEE so you really have to put in a lot of hard work.If possible join in some coaching classes.But again you cannot qualify untill you have the will to...you have to give your 100%...minimum of 12-14 hours of study a day with full concentration is required.

IIT JEE - Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination conducted by IIT for admission to under Graduate B.Tech. courses in IITs.

An eligible candidate is allowed two chances in his/her life to appear for IIT JEE that to consecutively for two years.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian Citizen having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with 60% marks from a recognised Board above the age of 17 years, can apply for IIT JEE.

IIT JEE entrance exam conducted by Indian Institute of Technology(IIT) for admission to under Graduate engineering in IITs.

Only two chances are allowed to appear IIT JEE after 12th from Science stream which should be consecutively for two years without any break for an eligible candidate.

After passing 12th if you want to join I.I.T then you will get only one attempts.


ELIGIBILITY FOR I.I.T-J.E.E EXAM:-
> Pass 12th with minimum 60% marks from recognized University or Board.
For ST/SC candidate minimum 65% marks is require.
> The age limit for exam is 17-25 year.
> Maximum number of attempts is 2.
> The candidate must be citizen of India.

IITJEE is the entrance exam to get you into India's most prestigious institute of technical studies.

first for you to be eligible you need to be aged more than 17 years and less than 25 years.
for sc/st and obc candidates the age limit is extended to 30 years.

And you are eligible to appear for the exam twice consequtively. but the total number of attempts allowed is 3 times

you must also pass 12th with 60% or more so to be eligible to give IITJEE..

As you have just passed 12th Exam, then you can appear for only 1 time in IIT-JEE Exam if you missed the current year.

IIT-JEE gives two consecutive chances to its candidates for cracking IIT-JEE exam.

However, now IIT-JEE exam has been modified to JEE Advanced Exam.

Upcoming JEE Advanced Exam will be commenced on 2 June 2013.
