Dear Friend,

IIT JEE Stands for Indian Institute Of Technology Joint Entrance Examination.

There are a total of 15 IITs in our Country and every year the examination is conducted by IIT - Kanpur.

2 Consecutive chances are given to candidates to appear in the IIT JEE.

The candidate who has passed 12th with a minimum of 60% marks can give the IIT Exam.

But the two chances are as per :

* 1st chance is given in the year in which the candidate has passed 12th and the candidate has the another chance right up next year if he/she fails in the first attempt.

So , if you think that you can use the two chances whenever you want then you are wrong as you have to attempt in two consecutive years if you want to give the IIT JEE.

This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want.
