Re: How to prepare for English section for IBPS Clerk Exam?
Many of the candidates will not give that much importance to prepare for General English in a better manner as a part of preparation for bank exams. But English is also having its own importance.
If you are qualified in remaining all the sections like -Reasoning -Quantitative aptitude -General Awareness -Computer Awareness, without qualifying in English you will not get through the written exam. To score high in this section, the major areas you need to focus are -Functional Grammar like Tenses, voice changing, articles, prepositions, direct & indirect speech. -Comprehension -Vocabulary. To build up vocabulary learn meanings for 5 new words every day and try to use those words in your regular conversations. In order to answer Comprehension questions in less time, you should have to have quick reading habit. If you don't have that, try to acquire that. Read English news papers regulary. Through this you can improve reading quickly and understanding the same. To be strong enough in Grammar, practice various sample papers on Grammar and know the things like which words to use sentences and where to use and the way how to use them. If you are strong enough in Grammar, obviously, just by seeing the sentence you can tell where the mistake is in the sentence. So, have good preparation to General Englis also as a part of preparation for bank exams. |
