How to prepare for GATE exam after doing B.E CSE? Books to be referred?


I am amuthan.I am doing my be cse(ii year).i want to prepare for gate exam.please tell me the tips and the books can i refer....

Exam preparation can be done by following a time table. Based on the syllabus and convenience, you can plan your studies. Dedicate separate time for each subject mentioned in GATE exam syllabus. You can refer books prescribed for B.Tech program for exam preparation. Other than this, referring books like Data structures and Algorithms Analysis in C written by Mark Allen and Weises, and GATE Mathematics from Upkar Publications will be useful.

If you are doing Bachelor of Engineering in computer science and you want you apply for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering then you will only be able to appear for this exam,when you will be in final semester or when you will get pass your in engineering course .

Qualification required to apply for GATE Exam is as follows :
  • Candidates who have a 4 years bachelor engineering degree will be eligible to apply for this exam.
  • Candidates who have a Post Graduate degree in Computer Application/Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics/Statistics will also be eligible to apply for this entrance test.
  • Candidates who have an Integrated Master degree in Telecommunication/Wireless Technology will also be eligible to apply for this entrance test.
Exam Pattern for GATE Exam :
  • Total number of questions will be 65.
  • Total duration of this entrance test will be 2 hours.
  • Questions will include from two sections.
