I am 2nd year mechanical engg student, i wish to write GATE exam.
can any 1 tell me how to prepare for GATE...i mean m still in 2nd year. so, which topic of 2nd year are imp for GATE. Thank you.

TIPS TO PREPARE FOR GATE - MECHANICAL EXAM

It's really good to see that you have started your preparation for GATE exam from your 2nd year and that's the right time to start too...

-> As you know the GATE exam consists 80% of question from your syllabus in college i.e the subjects which you are going to study from 2nd year onwards..

-> So start studying the subjects by understanding the concept well but not for the sake of getting marks...

-> As you are mechanical course, it is very important for you to understand the concepts well as everything is of practical work with calculation...

-> To prepare for GATE exam you have to follow three important points which as follows...


-> Know the pattern of the exam.

-> Refer Good books for preparation.

-> Spend valuable time daily.

-> I have attached the GATE 2012 syllabus of Mechanical stream in this post for your reference..
