how to prepare for general awareness part of the exam

General awareness has lot of importance in bank po exams.
Why because for most of the person it is to qualify in all other reasoning aptitude computer awareness and english.
Why because there are good text books like R.S.Agarwal.

But for general awareness there were no any text books. and you need to complete in all the sections individually inorder to qualify for the written test.

For general awareness. It will not come in a single day. You need to update it continuously. For that what you have to do,
1.Daily read atleast two newspapers and busniess line
2.Focus on current affairs
3.Major things happened in that year in each month.
4.Focus on changes that were happening in indian economy.
5.have a look on the policies and schemes that were introduced throghout the india and world.
6.national and world politics.
7.Go through some business magzines
8.Anyway some special materials are available for general awareness for bank po exams

These are the areas you need to focus.

There is no shortcuts for updating you general awareness. You need to be very systematic. You need to begin with reading newspapers daily. Also there are a lot books available in this area. Study it carefully.
