The GRE test comprises of questions from English and Mathematics.
The standard book to prepare for GRE is BARRON'S GRE book.
You can ask for this book in bookstore that deals in books for
engineering subjects/CAT/GMAT etc.

This is the most preferred book and it includes the entire syllabus of GRE.

GRE test is the test conducted for admission in MS in US universities
It is graduate record examination
You need to score above 1300 to get a scholarship in the university abroad
I think you should start your preparation by joining a good coaching institute for GRE/TOEFL/IELTS
As they will give you all details regarding syllabus ,new pattern of exam and also books
and study material and that is really helpful.

Barron`s book for gre is considered to be the best book for gre prepartion
gre exam consiist of questions fromm the basics of mathematics and a deep knowledge of english language with anto nyms .synonymsetc.

hi...to prepare for the gre examination you should keep the following points in mind:
1.the emphasis in this examination is on your vocablury and word power so if you want to do well in this examination then you ahve to bereally strong in the vocablury section ,the easiest way to prepare for this is to always learning new words daily and making use of them in common things and day today life ,also read the news papers daily preferably THE HINDU and jot down the words which you dont know the meaning of .
2.although the mathematics section is easy as compared to various other examination but having speed in it really helps and hence practice this also and make sure that you score as many marks as possible because its the easiest section to and more marks can be scored here ,
3.the best books for the gre preperation is the barrons gre text book which you can bye in from the stores but if you can read it on the computer then for that purpose i am attaching the soft copy of this book
