Good afternoon,Sir
I am a b.tech water resourse engg. 7th semester student.I am prepairing for my JMET exam,but i have started it from the month of july and i am very much scarred about to complete the entire syllabus within these few days.Also, there is no specific book is available in the market for prepairing the quantitative aptitude.so Sir,please guide me that how should i prepare my quant and also the other section to be the best for the respective jmet exam.i have not joined in any coaching also.

Joint Management Entrance Test exam is scheduled on December 12th, 2010

You need not get scared of exam. It you thoroughly work out all the syllabus mentioned, then you can win the race.

Nothing new is included in the portions. All the quantitative ability syllabus are covered in +2 maths itself.

Maam if you can study yourself then a book named P. Guha is excellent one.But I will recommend you to go for coaching classes because they give you tactics to solve a complex question in few seconds.

Don't worry. You have enough time to prepare for this exam.

Yes there is no specific book for this exam available in the market.
You just have to go through the syllabus at first ,its contents and then make sure from what kind of books you can get help for preparation.
In this exam,there are basically sections like: quantitative, verbal, logical reasonings and data interpretation problems.
You can prefer the standard NCERT books,aptitude books of R.S Aggarwal,Arun Sharma..
Also check out the previous year papers which will help you a lot.

GETTING JOINED TO JMET exam is the first step to seek post graduation.
candidates have to apply to the institutios of their choice.as the centres are in madras,chennai,roorkee,kharagphur,delhi,bombay,kan pur.
APPLICATION FORM has been in online. fee payment is of two type
1.core banking
2.demand draft
*acess jmet user and register and fill the form,fill your adress and other details and and required documents and photographs,take chalan in sbi bank in india and enroll your category , and fill up the application by core banking method.
*obtain dd for rs.350 for sc/st/pd, and for rs.750 for others. take dd in the fovour of :for example IISc bangalore,payable at banaglore.visiy the website fill up the form,enter the 6 digit dd number and the required details and post it to the adress CHAIRMAN,GATE OFFICE, IISc BANGALORE -560012. THEN FINALLY UPLOAD YOUR SIGNATURE AND PHOTGRAPH,if you are done by core banking method no need of posting if by dd,sc,st,pd or if signature hasnt been uploaded you have to post.

u may take admission management course through JMET(Joint Management Entrance Test).

it is the entrance exam for admission to the 2yr Postgraduate Degree course
by this exam u may get take admission in IITs.( IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee).

Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET) is the key to get admission in 2 years full time Postgraduate Management Program courses in IITs. currently 6 IIT institutes offer this Management Program. These are IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras & IIT Roorkee. Candidates have to apply separately for the desired institutes as JMET is only qualifying exam JMET exam has 4 sections having equal weight age & no. of questions. So each section has to be given equal importance.

Verbal Communication : This section tests the candidate’s English language abilities. You give more stress on Grammar & vocabulary. Also analyze the business article & non-fiction prose regularly. Also try to improve the communicative English grammar as questions based on this will be there.
Logical Reasoning : In this section questions based on analytical reasoning, argument analysis & analysis of questions will be there. This needs a good presence of mind at that time. So try to find the logical reason to every circumstances.
Quantitative Ability : In this questions are based on basic mathematics. So topics like HCF, LCM, percentage, linear & quadratic equations, logarithms, trigonometry, probability, differential calculus etc has to be revised. Just go through each topic & you can attempt every question easily as the topics are already done at your higher secondary school.
Data Interpretation : In this, data understanding is checked mainly. The data will be in the form of graphs, tables, histogram, pie charts etc & you will have to interpret them. This needs only a general understanding & its easy to prepare for it.
