You must first try to collect previous year papers. On the basis of that you will be able to understand the areas that need to be covered. You can purchase books on those areas too. Make sure to cover all the areas. Also do solve the previous year papers.

Every company has it's different pattern for written test.
Software companies ask questions from C C++ Data Structure for their written test whereas The core companies ask questions from the branch subjects. The best way to prepare is to visit the website www.freshersworld.com and view previous years papers for different companies and work accordingly. |

for technical interviews you must be technically strong
prepare well by learning all the concepts and increase your programming knowledge in tech interviews they will ask you to write programs and explain the concept most of the s/w companies will ask for c, c++, data structures if you are a fresher. it is very necessary that you must be strong enough atleast in any one pgmming language to get into a s/w company |

You can prepare for Technical Questions in GATE Book. Prepare for aptitude from R.S.Aggarwal Book. If you are from Computer Science Department you must be thorough of Computer Languages such as C C++ JAVA VISUAL BASIC According to technical Interview, they ask questions from the are of Interest. Be sure of all topics from your area of interest. Some of them ask programming. Be thorough of Programming papers. All the Best |

Refer previous question papers of that particular company.
Mostly they ask question by referring your resume. For every single word you may need to explain in the technical interviews. So be thorough in your resume. apart from these, they may ask question from your core related area |
