Honourable sir ,
I am studying B.E.(MECHANICAL) in 3rd year. I am very very interested to joining in Indian army at Defence department .
what I will take any doing work to joined the field . please sir , give me the answer detailed in about to send the my mail .

As you are interested to join Indian Army and you are reading in your graduation degree so you will have to crack CDS examinations for joining in the same .

CDS stands for Combined Defense Services and the same examination is conducted twice every year by Union Public Service Commission .

The minimum eligibility required for appearing in this examination are as :-

* You must have the nationality of India .

* You must have done your graduation with any discipline from a recognized university .If you are pursuing the inal year o your graduation then also you are eligible for the same .

* Age limit for different wings are different as here under :-

i) For Indian Naval Academy :- 19 years to 22 years .

ii) For Indian Air force Academy :- 19 years to 23 years .

iii) For Indian Military Academy :- 19 years to 24 years .

iv) For Officer's Training Academy :- 19 years to 25 years .

The examination is held in two phases which are as Written examination and Service Selection Board interview respectively .

You can join Defence department through CDS exam.For any defence academy you have to qualify CDS exam conducted by UPSC every year.

Indian Army
Indian Air Force
Indian Navy

Qualification--

For Indian Military Academy/Officers Training Academy--- Degree from a recognized university.

For Indian Naval Academy--- Bachelor of Engineering.

For Air Force Academy--- Degree of a recognized University with Physics and Mathematics in 12th.

Age Limit---

Indian Military--Candidate age should be between 19 years to 24 years.

Indian Navy---Candidate age should be between 19 years to 22 years.

Indian Airforce--Candidate age should be between 19 years to 23 years.
