Greeting for the day; First of all you have to understand the syllabus of Entrance exam for MBA.And then according to your interest you can start with your favorite topic. The very beginning level like book of R.S. aggrawal preparation guide. and then shifted to higher level book like Arihant and Arun sharma which basically a higher level. but for going to that book you should have a command on your basics. For the English section read a lot as much as u can. its my strict advise that dont use to go for fictional book like novels but it gives u a interest not knowledge but if u are penchant of reading novel then try to read autobiography or some philosophical book but philosophy comes in exam as a reading comprehension.Do reading lot be calm and compose and analyze more.since you have enough time but competition is increasing by leaps and bound so prefer to think unique. In my view u should start reading newspaper like The Hindu because it is tough and have a diversifying topic after getting interest in it switch yourself to the THE economics because For MBA u should be aware of economical terms.MBA is not tough but need a commitment and regularity in studying atleat 3 hr daily . All the best thanks khanddn |

Re: How to start preparation for MBA?
The MBA exam consist of:
Quantitative Aptitude Logical Reasoning Comprehension Test General Awareness Quantitative Aptitude: you have aptitude for basic and elementary accounting as well as the knack of solving the simple arithmetic problems. if properly prepared and practiced, is likely to put the candidate ahead of others, as one can hope to score even 100% marks in this part. It is strongly recommended that the candidates practice and attempt all the questions on quantitative. Logical Reasoning: These could include series of words and figures, arrangement of alphabets, brain teasers or even such questions as only call for drawing logical inferences. Just like quantitative aptitude test, this portion of admission test also needs special and detailed preparations and practice. In case of statements, the given statement as well as choices given must be read at least twice before choosing the right answer. Constant practice in the questions on reasoning would make the candidates confident to tackle this particular aspect of the test. Comprehension Test: Usually, a paragraph is given which the candidates are required to go through carefully and then answer the question by choosing the correct answer. To attempt this part speedily and correctly, the candidates must practice reading with a quick speed and understanding the entire passage. Regular practice would help the candidates to attempt the comprehension test in more effective and appropriate manner. General Awareness: A good knowledge of all branches of general knowledge is essential which can only be achieved by reading good books. Reading Newspapers regularly will keep you updated in whatever important is happening around the world. |

Re: How to start preparation for MBA?
Hello,
1)Well for MBA preparation the first thing is to read your text books, if you have already got admission in the MBA course. If you are preparing for the MBA common entrance test, then prepare on the subjects like data interpretation, data sufficiency, quantitative aptitude, English etc. to make it well in the examination. 2) For the both cases I mentioned above, maintaining a strict routine will help you greatly. Maintain the time division equally for all the subjects. This way you will be able to do all the subjects on time. 3) Also give some mock tests at some CAT or MAT or GMAT centers for the MBA CET preparation. For MBA course preparation take mock examinations of your own at home. Follow these. I think your preparation will be at a better pace. |
