Lateral entry is the method through which diploma holders can join to engineering degree. The scheme allows you to join directly to 2nd year of the course. IIIT-H, JIIT, etc are some of the reputed institutes offering lateral entry admissions. IIIT-H conducts an online entrance test for admission. Detailed information on admission can be collected from the website of the concerned company.

Yes, it is possible. AICTE considers diploma as equivalent to first year of engineering degree. Candidates having studied diploma can switch to any stream of engineering. Engineering degree in computer science or related subjects is suitable for you. For admission, you need to have secured a minimum of 60% marks in diploma.

it is possible to get admission b.tech after diploma, you can get admissin in any field after diploma, you should passed your diploma with 40% marks.. you can take direct admission or by appearing in LEET test..

How to join b.tech after completion of diploma in lateral entry

Yes. The candidates are eligible to take admission for B.Tech course after completion of Diploma.

The advantage for the candidates of Diploma will be, they can directly get admission for 2nd year of B.Tech course.

For this, they have to crack Entrance Exam.

The entrance exam will be ECET or LEET.

Depending upon your performance in the Entrance Exam, you will be given admission for 2nd year of B.Tech course in various colleges across India.

So, have good preparation for the Entrance Exam and crack it to get admission for B.Tech course in a top college.

Complete B.Tech course successfully and you will be eligible for number of job opportunities.
