If you want to make career in M.B.A then for admission in top college you have to qualify the entrance exam like:-
> C.A.T
> M.A.T
> X.A.T
> G.M.A.T
> R.M.A.T
> M.H-C.E.T
etc

Don't Worry about that the career about MBA is different also absolutely fine to progress mba course, after finished engineering then MBA is good to study , the subjects will be varied depends on your department (if you choose marketing or finance or HR..Etc..) but no subject comes from Engineering Background everything is different .

do you have ability to study mba you may join and study.....also the career wise awesome path Engg+MBA is totally agree to endorse the path

[ Packages ,skills,anaytical path all of them is good enough] also improve a lot

in MBA they offer many courses .but choose the best among them. D o not opt for diploma courses.MBA HR is the best among them .One important thing is that prove yourself such taht styfund should be provided.
