Yes aeronautical engineer is eligible for IES Exam. The eligibility for IES Exam is 1. Engineering Degree 2. Age Limit: 21-30 Years. Please go through the attached document for more details. |

Yeah for sure you can go with it..
As the rule of UPSC will not disturb you.. to write this exam you just need a degree ..it may be of any stream doesn't matter at all.. but one important thing is you will not have any subject that related to your stream in the CSE exam. so be careful while selecting the optionals.. as you'll not feel anything till you clear CSAT which is the first stage in this examination.. after that only you have to select your optionals. so i hope you will select mech because its related to your branch.. and it might be helpful to you also.. anyways this is about your answer.. happy planning. ~aditya~ |

Yes you are eligible for IES and even for IAS exam also......as graduation degree is required for that. IES Exam Eligibility: Age Eligibility: You need to be between 21 years to 30 years on the 1st August, 2011. Age relaxations exist as per Govt. rules. Academic Eligibility: You must be a graduate in Engineering from a recognized university. For more details:www.upsc.gov.in |

IAS Exam Eligibility
For getting selected to the IAS,. One is that you should be eligible for appearing for the IAS exam and the other is that after clearing the mains and while appearing for the physical tests during the interview stage you should meet all the physical and other requirements as mandated.. You must be at least 21 years of age at the time of filling the Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam form and not more than 30 years of age You must possess a graduate degree in any discipline of any of the Universities . or Candidates who are in the final semester of graduate degree . a candidate MUST be a citizen of India. |

Yes you can eligible to apply IAS exam after passing B.E Aeronautical Engineering. The minimum Qualification for IAS exam is Bachelor of any subject.
The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years (for the General category candidate) on 1 August of the year of examination. Prescribed age limits vary with respect to caste reservations. For Other Backward Castes (OBC) the upper age limit is 35 years |

Hi friends.
The candidate must hold Bachelor's degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statisticsand Zoology or Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering (of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualifications) The notification talks about Bachelor's degree in Engineering, not about the branch! Hope you are eligible. :—) |
