Thumbs up Re: IAS exam after Aeronautical engineering?

Yeah for sure you can go with it..

As the rule of UPSC will not disturb you..

to write this exam you just need a degree ..it may be of any stream doesn't matter at all..

but one important thing is you will not have any subject that related to your stream in the CSE exam.

so be careful while selecting the optionals..

as you'll not feel anything till you clear CSAT which is the first stage in this examination..

after that only you have to select your optionals.

so i hope you will select mech because its related to your branch..

and it might be helpful to you also..

anyways this is about your answer..

happy planning.

Yes you can eligible to apply IAS exam after passing B.E Aeronautical Engineering. The minimum Qualification for IAS exam is Bachelor of any subject.

The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years (for the General category candidate) on 1 August of the year of examination. Prescribed age limits vary with respect to caste reservations. For Other Backward Castes (OBC) the upper age limit is 35 years

Hi friends.
The candidate must hold

Bachelor's degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statisticsand Zoology
or Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering (of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualifications)
The notification talks about Bachelor's degree in Engineering, not about the branch!

Hope you are eligible. :—)
