Re: If I get a backlog after getting placed then does it affect my job placement?
Hi
First of all CONGRATULATIONS that you are already placed in an MNC even before you are passed out as a graduate. So you are a campus placed candidate. Secondly I am also sorry that you are expecting a backlog in your last semester after all the hard work that you must have put in. Coming to your query, I must tell you that when a company visits the campus for the Placements, its criteria to apply is that you should not have any pending backlogs at the time of applying for the job. So at that time you didn't have any backlog, so you applied and have successfully managed to get a job for yourself. Now as you say that you are expecting a backlog, I would say that firstly be positive about your results. No one knows what is going to happen. So at first you should hope for the best. Then even god forbids, if you get a back then your mark sheet would be withheld. So you cannot join in that company UNTIL AND UNLESS you clear your this pending backlog. This is because it affects the reputation of the company. No company would ever want to recruit candidates who have even not been able to successfully clear and pass their graduation degree. This makes a HUGE difference in the market reputation of any company. Usually the companies send the joining letters by late August and September. So by that time you may apply for the back paper and appear in that. Give it your best shot and clear it. After that you would have no problems in joining the company in which you are placed. But yeah if you have a backlog and do not clear it, I am afraid you will not be allowed to work for any company. Hope this helps All the best Regards RANJEET |

Re: If I get a backlog after getting placed then does it affect my job placement?
For renewal of post matric scholarship, you need to present the marklist of the past year certificates with a aggregate of 60% and above. If your results have not published at the time of your application to be submitted, then you need to contact your college authorities to find a solution with the available marklist. But in case you have back papers you won't able to apply for the renewal.

Re: If I get a backlog after getting placed then does it affect my job placement?
Hello, I am a 8th semester VTU student with an average CPA of 8.5. I have been placed in a networking company with a great package and also got the offer letter and joining date a month ago. I wrote my 8th sem exams and I'm expecting a backlog due to the irrelevance in the paper. It's the same to all the students who wrote the paper with me. Will this affect my job offer?
