How to become IPS Officer -

To become IPS officer, you need a graduate degree from a recognised university. And you have to appear for UPSC Civil services examination. This examination was conducted by UPSC Two times in a year.

And Any candidates who have purse a graduate degree examination are eligible to apply for Civil services examination but to appear in this examination your age should between 21 to 30 years. So, If you have passed your 12th examination, then your are not eligible to apply for This examination at this stage. So, i will suggest you please take admission in Bachelor degree course and then you are eligible to apply for Civil services examination to become a IPS officer.

So , Graduate from any stream are eligible for Civil services examination.

The Notification are published in the employment Newspaper OR In the official website of UPSC. The examination was divided into 2 stages - Preliminery exam And Main exam.

Firstly you have to crack the Preliminery exam and then you are eligible for Main examination. Preliminery examination was totally objective type paper. And general candidates will appear 4 times in this examination, The syllabus are availiable in the UPSC Official website, So please visit the UPSC Official website to get compete details regarding Civil services examination.

for IPS exam.
Minimum education criteria = Graduate
also Candidates appearing for Degree qualification are also eligible for appearing in the examination, however, they are supposed to submit proof of passing the requisite qualification along with with Detailed Application Form for Civil Services (Main) Examination.

so you need o be graduate for being IPS since you are from commerce background you can do B.COM...and apply..


Age limit for civil service exam is:

General category:
candidate must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination.

SC/ST:
up to a maximum of 5 years.

OBC:
up to a maximum of 3 years.

A general candidate can attempt Four times only.Where as Seven attempts of OBCs. And no limit for SCs/STs.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR IPS OFFICER IS AS MENTIONED BELOW:-

1) You must be at least 21 years of age at the time of filling the Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam form and not more than 30 years of age (various relaxations are available for different categories).

2) You must possess a graduate degree in any discipline of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of Central or State legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification.

3) Candidates who are in the final semester or have taken their final degree exam but are awaiting the results can also appear for the IAS and IPS Preliminary examination provided they furnish their proof of degree while filling the Mains form.

So you are eligible for IPS officer after graduation.

UPSC civil sevices examination held twice in a year . It needs age between 21 to 30 .
With this make yourself up to date. Keep the knowledge of other subjects also like history, geography, political sc.,economics etc.

You are not eligible to apply for the IPS examination. This examination is

conducted by UPSC in every year. IPS exam is known as the civil services

examination. To become the IPS officer you need the following eligibility

criteria.

Educational Qualification = Graduation in any stream.

Final year graduation students are also eligible to apply for the IPS exam.

Age Limit :- The age must be between 21 to 30 years at the time of appearing of examination.

The age relaxation is also applicable for the candidates belongs to
reservation category.

If you have pass 12th exam then you are not eligible for the appearing of IPS examination. So, i suggest you to take admission in the graduate course and after passing the graduate degree you can apply for the IPS examination.

To become an IPS officer minimum qualification is graduation. Exam is conducted by UPSC each year.

To appear for IPS exam one must be at least holding a degree in any field i.e. a candidate must be a graduate at least.

So at first you must complete your graduation. The age eligibility for general criteria is in between 21 to 30 years. SC/ST candidates are given an age relaxation of five years and OBC candidates have age relaxation up to 3 years.

After getting your graduation you can choose commerce as an optional subject to write your IPS exam.

General candidates : Only 4 Chances

OBC Candidates : Only 7 Chances

SC/ST Candidates : No Limits

TO BE AN I.P.S. OFFICER YOU NEED TO COMPLETE YOUR GRADUATION FIRST.
AFTER GRADUATION OR IN THE FINAL YEAR OF GRADUATION YOU CAN APPLY FOR CIVIL SERVICE EXAM TO BECOME AN I.P.S. OFFICER.
Indian Police Service Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission .
To become an I.P.S. officer you need to clear the preliminary exam , main exam , interview as well as physical fitness test.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

--Bachelor’s degree of a recognized university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

-- Age limit is 21-30 years for general category, For SC/ST- 5 years of relaxation is available & For O.B.C. 3 years of upper age relaxation is available.

--Four attempts for open category, seven for O.B.C. and unlimited for SC/ST candidates.
If a candidate appears in the Preliminary Examination or even one paper is counted as an attempt.

Height – Male 165 cm Pahari Male (general also) & ST (not the SC/ OBC) – 160 cm

Chest – Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm.
Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm.

Eye sight – 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye. Near vision J 1 for good eye. J2 for worst eye. High standard for the Colour-blind test. No inherent night blindness. Vision should stereoscopic.

Blood pressure (High) – Age 23 – 123, age 24 – 124, age 25 –122, age 28 – 124, age 30 –125, age 32 – 126, age 34 – 127.
Ladies should not be pregnant at the time of Medical Test.

Ear- good listening & normal ear cavity. 1000 to 4000 frequency hearing impairment shd not be more than 30 decibels.

Nasal- candidate should not stammer while speaking.
