I m student of Msc. part2(organic chemistry) . i want to ask u about SET exam. is there importance for SET exam in Industry level? or it just useful for lectership?

State level eligibility test or the national eligibility test for lectureship is basically taken by the candidates interested in lecturers job in universities and colleges.As per the UGC guidelines, qualifying these tests are mandatory to be considered as lecturers in universities and colleges of India.
Qualifying these tests do not help candidates in other industries to a large extent.

I have completed M.Sc botany (angiosperms), now i want to appear for NET exams, what subject shall i prefer for it according to my qualification? Is life science the right one or any other?
