plz give me idea about railway jobs and exams. As I am btech mechanical student of final year.

You can apply for the position of Section Engineer in Indian Railway Department with your qualification . The exam is conducted by RRB (railway recruitment board) .

The eligibility criteria required for RRB Section Engineer are as under:-

-The candidate should have four years Bachelor's Degree in Concerned Engineering Discipline.

-The candidate age limit should be in between 20 years to 35 Years.There is relaxation in upper age limit for OBC candidates by 3 years and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

-The Pay Band + Grade Pay for RRB Section Engineer is Rs.9300-34800 + GP Rs.4600/-


You can also apply for SCRA exam to get desired post in Indian Railways .

UPSC conducts SCRA exam to make recruitment for different positions in Indian Railways.

SCRA stands for Special Class Railway Apprentices.

The eligibility criteria for the SCRA exam are as under:-

-The candidate must be an Indian.

-The candidate must have passed 12th class with Physics and Mathematics.Appearing candidate can also apply for the exam.

-The candidate who have completed graduation with mathematics as a subject is also eligible for the exam.

-The candidate age limit to apply for the exam is from 17 years to 21 years. There is no age relaxation for the reserved categories.

-The exam process involves of written exam followed by the personal interview.
