Information regarding Eligibility criteria for Bank Clerk and PO positions?


Hello sir,
I am architecture student. Wishing to do career in bank. so, will you please give me all details about bank clerk / po post. Including eligible criteria , how it gonna help me in future. and for that what do i need to do.

Bank Jobs are in hot demand these days. The number of candidates who are applying for Bank Exams are going on increasing.

The entry level positions in various banks are
-Clerical positions
-Probationary Officers

Here is the required eligibility criteria for the candidates to appear for Clerk Exams.

-One should have completed 12th class from a recognized institute with a minimum of 55% of marks. This percentage criteria will be varied from one bank to another bank.

As per age criteria,
-A candidate of general category should be in the age group of 18-28 years to be eligible for this Exam.
-Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category and upto 5 years for the candidates of SC/ST category.

In order to be eligible for Bank PO Exams,
-One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university.
-Candidates who are pursuing final year of Graduation course are also eligible to apply for Bank PO Exams but they should be able to show the proof of passing in Graduation when they appear for Interview.

As per age criteria,
-One should be in the age group of 21-30 years to be eligible for Bank PO Exams.
-Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category and upto 5 years for the candidates of SC/ST category.

If you possess the above mentioned criteria, you can appear for respective bank exams.

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection(IBPS) has announced that it will conduct Common Written Examination for Bank entrance PO/Clerk 2011.
Eligibility IBPS Bank Clerk Exam
1.Candidate should have completed degree course from any recognized university or equivalent.
2.Students of final year who have appeared for final year examination are also eligible.
3.Students age should be between 20 years to 30 years.

SC/ST students are given Relaxation of five years where as PH students 10 years and Ex-service personals of 5 years

SELECTION PROCESS-
1.WRITTEN EXAM
2.PERSONAL INTERVIEW

For clerical post...
*The candidates should be a +2 pass from any stream , from a recognize university.
*The age limit is 18 - 27 yrs.
There is a relaxation for sc / st & obc candidates.
For PO post.......

* Eligibility Criteria for Bank’s Probationary Officer(PO) exam ::

1. Educational Qualification ::

The applicant must hold his/ her Degree of Graduation from a government recognized university with an aggregate of at least 55% in order to appear in the Bank’s.

2. Age Limit ::

The age limit prescribed by the bank authorities is 25 yrs. A person more than 25 yrs of age is not eligible for the post of Probationary Officer in the Bank according to the guidelines provided by the bank.

3. Computer Skill ::

The applicant must possess a good command over computer applications to be a part of the above mentioned programme.

4. Banking Skill ::

The applicant must have the basic banking knowledge and skills to be a part of the above mentioned programme.

In bank exam there are two type of jobs are listed every time.

>Clerical positions.

>Probationary officers.

The eligibility criteria for the clerk exams:

1. The should complete his/her 12th standard from a recognised state board with atleast of 55% marks.
The percentage requirement is changed from one bank to another bank.

2.The candidates age must and should between 18 years to 28 years.
Relaxation as per categories.

Eligibility criteria for the bank po:

>The final year graduate candidates are also eligible.

i came to know that from the coming year i.e 2013, the educational eligible criteria for clerical post in all private and public sector banks will be graduation and not higher seconadry. is it really true????? pls help.

The exam for bank Clerk and P.O. are conducted generally by SBI and IBPS(Institute of Banking Personal Selection)

ELIGIBILITY FOR BANK CLERICAL EXAM:-

-The candidate must be an Indian Citizen
-Should have completed 12th with 50% marks or have completed Graduation in any stream from a recognised University.
-Should be within the age of 18 to 28 years.
-Should have good knowledge over computer

ELIGIBILITY FOR BANK P.O. EXAM:-

-The candidate must be an Indian Citizen
-Should have completed Graduation in any stream from a recognised University
-Should be within the age of 20 to 30 years
-Should be a computer literate one

The selection are through written exam followed by personal interview for both the exams.

At first I want to say that both PO and CLERK are good
It depends how much you are qualified

Criteria for PO :

1.Academic qualification :

I completed my B.com in 2002, Postgraduate Diploma in Business Admin in 2003 and Adv. Diploma in Business Mgt. in 2006. My age is 31 yrs now, could you please let me know if I am eligible to give Bank Clerk Exam as it says minimum criteria is up to 30 years?

.After graduation, there is a exam, through which you can apply for the Probationary Officer (PO) posts of the various banks. This examination commonly known as CWE (COMBINED WRITTEN EXAMINATION) is conducted by the IBPS (INSTITUTE OF BANKING & PERSONNEL SELECTIONS). There are 19 banks , which recruits their respective PO & CLERKS posts through IBPS exam.

List of participating BANKS--



EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR PO--

The educational requirements for this IBPS PO exam is a graduation degree in any stream, but from a recognized college. You must have scored at least 60% in academic carrier.
You must have working knowledge of computer science like MS WORD, MS EXCEL, MS OFFICE, TALLY

You must have Indian nationality..

Age limit-

21-30 years for the GENERAL candidates,
21-33 years for the OBC candidates,
21-35 years for the SC\ST candidates .

Exam pattern--




Educational requirements for the CLERKS --

12th degree from a recognized board with at least 60%.

Age limit- 18-28 years,. Some years of the age relaxations are also applicable.

Dear aspirant,

-Yes you can apply for bank clerk and PO as you are a Graduate.

-The basic qualification for IBPS clerk and PO is graduation in any discipline from a recognised university.

-The age limit for IBPS clerk is 18 to 28 for general category. Age relaxation is available for SC/ST , OBC, Physically handicapped and Ex servicemen.

-There will be objective type paper containing questions from Reasoning, Quantitative, English, General awareness computer aptitude.

-You have to pass in each sections to qualify for interview if you are higher on merit list.

-Interview marks also count so be prepared for interview also.

Educational Qualifications

>> Candidates must have a bachelor of degree in any stream from any recognized university

Age Limit

>> Candidates age should between 21 years to 30 years age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per govt. norms



Eligibility Criteria for Bank Clerks

Educational Qualification

>> Candidates must have 10+2 or equivalent examination with minimum 60% aggregated marks from any recognized institutions

or

>> Candidates must have a bachelor of degree in any stream

Age Limit

>> Candidates age should between 18 to 28 years, and age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as per norms

Bank Po Exam Eligibility :

Educational Qualification :

Candidates must be a Indian
Candidates must be complete a Graduation with min of 55% (50% for SC/ST) in any stream from a recognized University
Candidates age limit between 21 to 30 years
The Upper age relaxation for reserved candidates
3 years age relaxation for OBC candidates
5 years age relaxation for SC/ST Candidates



Bank Clerk Exam Eligibility :

Candidates must be a Indian
Candidates must be complete 12th stands with min of 60% (55% for SC/ST) from a recognized University (OR)
any graduation from a recognized University
Candidates age limit between 18 to 30 years
The Upper age relaxation for reserved candidates
3 years age relaxation for OBC candidates
5 years age relaxation for SC/ST Candidates

Sir...
Here I am providing you, the possible information about the banks posts like PO (PROBATIONARY OFFICER) & CLERKS posts.
For the post like PO , you must have to complete your graduation in any stream but from a recognized college. After graduation, there is a exam, through which you can apply for the Probationary Officer (PO) posts of the various banks.
This examination is known as the CWE (COMMON WRITTEN EXAMINATION),which is conducted by the IBPS (INSTITUTE OF THE BANKING & PERSONNEL SELECTIONS ), through this CWE examination, one can apply for the various posts in various nationalized banks.
There are almost 19 banks are available, which recruit their respective posts through this institution (IBPS).


Name of the participating BANKS -



The educational requirements for the PO -

You must have at least a graduation degree in any stream, but from a recognized college.

You must have scored at least 55% in graduation.This percentage criteria will be varied from one bank to another bank.

You must have working knowledge of computer like program MS WORD, MS EXCEL, MS OFFICE ,TALLY. etc etc.

Candidates who are pursuing final year of Graduation course are also eligible to apply for Bank PO Exams

Age limit-

21-30 years for the GENERAL candidates,
21-33 years for the OBC candidates ,
21-35 years for the SC\ST candidates.


IBPS PO EXAM PATTERN-



Some educational criteria for the IBPS CLERKS POST EXAM--

Minimum a 12th degree is required with at least 55% (AGGREGATE).This percentage criteria will be varied from one bank to another bank.

The age limit for this examination is 18-28 years, there are also some years of age relaxations are also applicable for the reserved category.

Hey friend,

The Bank PO exam is conducted for candidates to join in for the post of Bank Probationary officer.

These exams combined is called as Bank Exam.

There are criteria's which are needed to be satisfied in order to apply for the exam and they may change from bank-bank and these exams are conducted by many banks based on the vacancy of the post.

For Bank PO:

-> Candidate should be a citizen of India

-> Age Limit needed is 21-30 years and there are certain upper age relaxation for other category.

-> Education qualification needed is that candidate should have completed a degree in any discipline and must have at leats 60% aggregate.

-> Candidate should know about computers and must have a knowledge on MS Office


For Bank Clerk:

-> Candidate should be a citizen of India

-> Age Limit needed is 18-28 years and there are certain upper age relaxation for other category.

-> Education qualification needed is that candidate should have completed +2 and with Mathematics as subject in any discipline and must have at leats 55% aggregate.


If you satisfy the criteria for the respected exam then you can apply for that exam

Candidates are selected through 2 stages:

First of all, I would like to tell you that all banking examinations are conducted by SBI and IBPS.

The eligibility criteria required for bank clerk examinations are prescribed as below:-

* Completion of 12th with 60% marks or graduation from any recognised college or university.

* Age limit- 20-28 yrs.

* Age relaxation- 3 yrs for OBC and 5 yrs SC/ST contendors.

* Nationality- Indian.

The eligibility criteria required for bank PO examinations are prescrribed as below:-


* Completion of graduation in any discipline from any recognised college or university.

* Age limit- 21-30 yrs for SBI PO; and 20-30 yrs for IBPS PO.

* Age relaxation- 3 yrs for OBC and 5 yrs for SC/ST contendors.

* Nationality- Indian.

The selection procedure for banking clerk and PO examinations:-


* Written examination.

* Interview.
