Information regarding Eligibility criteria for Bank Clerk and PO positions?
Hello sir,
I am architecture student. Wishing to do career in bank. so, will you please give me all details about bank clerk / po post. Including eligible criteria , how it gonna help me in future. and for that what do i need to do. |

Bank Jobs are in hot demand these days. The number of candidates who are applying for Bank Exams are going on increasing.
The entry level positions in various banks are -Clerical positions -Probationary Officers Here is the required eligibility criteria for the candidates to appear for Clerk Exams. -One should have completed 12th class from a recognized institute with a minimum of 55% of marks. This percentage criteria will be varied from one bank to another bank. As per age criteria, -A candidate of general category should be in the age group of 18-28 years to be eligible for this Exam. -Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category and upto 5 years for the candidates of SC/ST category. In order to be eligible for Bank PO Exams, -One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university. -Candidates who are pursuing final year of Graduation course are also eligible to apply for Bank PO Exams but they should be able to show the proof of passing in Graduation when they appear for Interview. As per age criteria, -One should be in the age group of 21-30 years to be eligible for Bank PO Exams. -Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category and upto 5 years for the candidates of SC/ST category. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection(IBPS) has announced that it will conduct Common Written Examination for Bank entrance PO/Clerk 2011. Eligibility IBPS Bank Clerk Exam 1.Candidate should have completed degree course from any recognized university or equivalent. 2.Students of final year who have appeared for final year examination are also eligible. 3.Students age should be between 20 years to 30 years. SC/ST students are given Relaxation of five years where as PH students 10 years and Ex-service personals of 5 years SELECTION PROCESS- 1.WRITTEN EXAM 2.PERSONAL INTERVIEW For the IBPS EXAM CANDIDATE ARE ELIGIBLE WHEN - -Student with 60% marks in matriculation from any school. -Student need at least 50% in Higher Secondary exam or a Degree all the best.. |

The eligibility of bank exam........ For clerical post... *The candidates should be a +2 pass from any stream , from a recognize university. *The age limit is 18 - 27 yrs. * Eligibility Criteria for Bank’s Probationary Officer(PO) exam :: 1. Educational Qualification :: The applicant must hold his/ her Degree of Graduation from a government recognized university with an aggregate of at least 55% in order to appear in the Bank’s. 2. Age Limit :: The age limit prescribed by the bank authorities is 25 yrs. A person more than 25 yrs of age is not eligible for the post of Probationary Officer in the Bank according to the guidelines provided by the bank. 3. i came to know that from the coming year i.e 2013, the educational eligible criteria for clerical post in all private and public sector banks will be graduation and not higher seconadry. is it really true????? pls help.

The exam for bank Clerk and P.O. are conducted generally by SBI and IBPS(Institute of Banking Personal Selection)

I completed my B.com in 2002, Postgraduate Diploma in Business Admin in 2003 and Adv. Diploma in Business Mgt. in 2006. My age is 31 yrs now, could you please let me know if I am eligible to give Bank Clerk Exam as it says minimum criteria is up to 30 years?

Hi........... Sir......... .After graduation, there is a exam, through which you can apply for the Probationary Officer (PO) posts of the various banks. This examination commonly known as CWE (COMBINED WRITTEN EXAMINATION) is conducted by the IBPS (INSTITUTE OF BANKING & PERSONNEL SELECTIONS). There are 19 banks , which recruits their respective PO & CLERKS posts through IBPS exam. List of participating BANKS-- EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR PO-- The educational requirements for this IBPS PO exam is a graduation degree in any stream, but from a recognized college. -Yes you can apply for bank clerk and PO as you are a Graduate. -The basic qualification for IBPS clerk and PO is graduation in any discipline from a recognised university. -The age limit for IBPS clerk is 18 to 28 for general category. Age relaxation is available for SC/ST , OBC, Physically handicapped and Ex servicemen. -There will be objective type paper containing questions from Reasoning, Quantitative, English, General awareness computer aptitude. -You have to pass in each sections to qualify for interview if you are higher on merit list. -Interview marks also count so be prepared for interview also. Hi!!! Sir... Here I am providing you, the possible information about the banks posts like PO (PROBATIONARY OFFICER) & CLERKS posts. For the post like PO , you must have to complete your graduation in any stream but from a recognized college. After graduation, there is a exam, through which you can apply for the Probationary Officer (PO) posts of the various banks.
