Hi,

The UGC NET exam is held twice in a year.

The schedule for exam for 2011 is as follows:

*Application Submission Start Date: final week of March, 2011
*Application Submission End Date: final week of April, 2011
*Last date for reception a documents: final week of April, 2011
*UGC NET 2011 Examination Date: 26th June, 2011

Also, The December examination is scheduled for 25th December 2011.

UGC- NET 2011

Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) conducts the UGC-CSIR NET.

University Grants Commission (UGC) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) to determine eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals in order to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in the teaching profession and research.

Important Dates

Application Submission Start Date : 29-3-2011

Application Submission End Date : 25-4-2011

Last date for receiving the documents at the test center: 2-5-2011

Examination Date : 26-6-2011

The candidates are required to download the Bank Challan Performa from the UGC website and then deposit the requisite test fee in any branch of State Bank of India along with the bank charges (commission) of Rs.20/-.

Scheme and Date of Test Exam: – The examination which is due on 26th of June 2011 consists 3-papers. The first paper will be in General Nature, proposed to evaluate the teaching aptitude of the candidates, the second paper consists the subject which is selected individually by the candidates and the third paper is in descriptive in nature from the subject selected by the candidates.

Dear friend,

After M.SC(Botany) , you are eligible for NET exam but your degree must be from UGC approved university.

Those candidate have completd masters degree from recogniged university are eligible for NET exam.

For general and OBC candidate must be hold 55%above in masters degree. SC/ST candidate must be hold 50% above in masters degree.

Part time course are not eligible for NET exam.

For Junior research fellowship course your age must be in between 19 to 28 years.

For lectureship ,There is no upper age limit but the Minimum age is 19 years.

NET exam is conduct because of govt college lecturer and PHD entrance.


The NET exam date is18-12-2011 But still UGC have not published application brochure .

The application details will be published in 26th September,2011.So you have to prepare well for NET exam.

There are one declaration is announced UGC . No negative Marking in Paper-I and Paper -II exam.

Online form will available after 26th September.

Date of Close of Online Submission: 13-09-2011

Last Date of Receipt of Duly Completed Hard Copy of Online Application Forms: 16-09-2011

UGC NET EXAM

UGC NET exam held twice a year, in the months of June and December for jrf and lecturership.

The notifications announce in month of March and September for June and December month examination, are published in Employment News and ugc website (www.ugc.ac.in)also. notification will be published 26th september 2011 for december month exam.

The date of UGC NET exam of december month 2011, is Saturday 24 december.

Result declaration:-The result of June is declared in the month of October.
Similarly December month result is usually declared in the month of April. The UGC-NET results published in the Employment News are also available on UGC website.

you can apply for net exam only online on the UGC website-- www.ugc.ac.in.


Eligibility:- Post graduation in any subject with 55% from any recognised
university. there is no upper age limit for lecturership for jrf only age is 28 years.
