hey i wnt to know everything about L&T build India scholarship

this years L&T build India scholarship exam was over on November 22.
its an noble program by Larsen&Toubro along with iit Chennai and Delhi to ogive scholarship to 30 students in India to do masters in construction management in iit

i have been selected for interview,please help me to prepare for it,what kind of questions can i expect and which books to read?

congratulations for getting selected for interview,
in an interview for construction management course the question generally may be asked from subjects like EQS ANS PPM

you can expect questions from construction management and estimation and costing

so i do not require to prepare for structures?ppm and eqs are enough?

you have to prepare for structures also but concentrate more on ppm and construction management

will they ask any aptitude questions also in interview?

no,but they will ask some HR type questions for sure

i dont think so,but they may ask some hr type questions like they ask during job interviews

HR type questions are essence of any interview an there will some for sure without any doubt

Duration:

The duration of the scholarship is for a period of 2 years

Eligibility Criteria for the L & T Build India Scholarships:
•Candidates applying for the L & T ‘Build India Scholarships’ should be engineering graduates with a total percentage of at least 65 in either Civil or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a reputed University or Institute.
•The candidates applying for the scholarships should not be more than 23 years of age
•Candidates should have a minimum height of 160 centimeters
Value of Scholarships :
•A monthly stipend of Rs.7, 000 for the entire period of the course
•Sponsorship to the IIT’s by ECC
•Tuition fees are however not a part of the scholarship. The same will be reimbursed to the student once the student joins ECC as an employee after passing out successfully

it is base on construction management for civil engg.

When does the application form come and what is the approx dead line?

I passed out recently... and i was unaware of this course last year when it called for the applicatons....
So Am i still eligible to apply for the Course...?
Not for this year but for the next year....?

Larsen and Toubro, also known as L & T in the corporate sector the world over, is a giant in the engineering and construction sector of India.

The L & T Build India provide scholarships which are awarded to exceptional meritorious engineering students who are interested in acquiring an M.Tech in Construction Technology & Management from either IIT Delhi and IIT Madras.

Eligibility Criteria :-
Educational Qualification :- 65% marks in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering for pass out in 2011 from a recognized Indian University/Institute.
Age:- Within 23 years on 01-07-2011.
Height:- Minimum 160 cm.
Weight:- Minimum 50 kg.
Vision:- Power should be less than ± 5.0 diopters.

Selection Process:-
IIT (Delhi/Madras) conducts written tests / interview in coordination with L&T ECC. Final selection will be subject to medical fitness.

Scholarship Amount:-
Stipend of Rs.9000/- per month for the 24 months and also pay sponsorships to IITs.

There is no such need to provide a photo id o anything.. just register on the website n pray for u to be shrtlisted for the written test.

In online application form they didn't ask for photo in that... But in newspaper ad its mentioned that we should send a photo... to which address do i need to send and how..

boss u need nt wry.. filling up d online form is more than enough... I am a BIS student at IIT-D so i knw the things.... nw just wait and hope u get shrtlisted 4 d written test..

wat about the canteen facilities in L&T

i have not submit my photograph so is it possible there is cancellation of me.

HEY, I HAVE FILLED THE ONLINE FORM APPROXIMATELY ONE MONTH AGO, BUT I HAVE NOT YET RECEIVED ANY MAIL FROM L&T ECC.

you wont get any apptitude questions.
you will get basic things from your subjects and maximum questions from construction management. and may be some managerial questions i.e they will give some situation and how you are managing that situation.
