In India there are institutions which are world famous for world class engineering courses, like IITs and NITs, if you want to get into these institutions then you have to clear entrance exams like IIT-JEE and AIEEE and also there is another famous test known as BITSAT for entrance to BITs Pilani, one of the best private institutions in India.

Regarding cutoff:-

>>See for this entrance, cut off varies from time to time, if you get a good rank in IITJEE like AIR 1 to 1000 , then you are sure of getting them, so this applies for AIEEE and BITSAT, dont worry about the cutoff, try to maintain a good rank.

Then comes private institutes like

> DTU (Delhi Technological university)

> BITS (Birla Institute of Technology)

There are separate Entrances for colleges and so the cut off is different.

It is as explained below :-

For IITs and NITs, DTU, NSIT, there is one common entrance ie JEE Mains, the top 1.5 lakh rankers of this exam will be able to give JEE Advanced to get into IITs, DTU, etc.

So, You need to score at least a rank below 10,000 to get DTU, NSIT, or other top IITs and NITs.


If you want to go in BITS, then there is separate exam known as BITSAT
You need to score at least above 420 marks in this exam to get any stream.

If you want to go in USIT, IGIT, then you have to appear for IPU CET.
For USIT, you need at least a rank below 1,000 and for IGIT a rank below 2,500.
