Hi, I am pursuing MCA form IGNOU. Can I do M.Tech in CS after this?

Yes, you can certainly do M.Tech after completing your MCA.

You can do M.Tech either by writing gate exam or by other methods as well.

Yes you can do that but could I ask you why you would like to do that is this certificate is not enough for you to go in any field, well its on you, by doing M.Tech you can go in research field and education field in enginering college.

yes you can opt for the MS programme in Software Systems offered by the BITS, PILANI. You can get in touch with the Dean, Distance learning Programme Division as it would be difficult to go for a regular M.Tech programme.
For details about the pre-requisites for M.Tech., check the prospectus of GATE, which is the entrance exam for M.Tech. program and the eligibility criteria for the branch you want to opt for in the Institute you wish to apply for.

its possible after mca you may go for m.tech but after passing the entrance exams. by cet exams.

Yes, you can do M.Tech after MCA, as MCA is considered an equivalent of B.Tech by all universities in India. For the list of approved M.Tech. institutes in Kolkata, please visit www.aicte.ernet.in and download the list of approved colleges.

so i suggest you go through PHD..if you
are interested in higher studies ...
and you also do MTECH prepare for GATE exam ..
get good percentile and take admission in IIT...
and if you are interested in job then

go through the whole syllabus of b.tech.

The minimum criteria for doing M.Tech in CS :
1. either a student complete B.Tech in CSE
2. or he/she complete his MCA degree
as your are a MCA degree holder so it is better option for you to do M.Tech in CS.

As I have gone through every ones suggestion, first of all for helping our friend
What he can do with MCA and cant do with out MTech Qualification.
What is the Main benefit he gets after 2 years Study ..? please consider todays competition.

In my openion, degree / pg are the gate way for getting Jobs.. domain experience is the Key for top position / desired jobs. since you have already completed, MCA why cant you join a job and get experience, as one of our friend said, if you are very much intrested you can do mtech in distance mode.

you need a master degree in computer related subjects for mtech
you can give net also,net is a perperdicular examination to promote students working with postgraduation to work with educational institutions.

And now i have 3.4yrs of experience in software development field.But still not able to get job in big companies like HCL,IBM,Wipro etc. just becouse of my distance course from ignou. So please advise me any course about 1 year which provide me better opportunities and able to get job in Big companies.

definately you can do MTECH after your MCA.

but to do Mtech,you have appear & qualify a exam which is GATE.so you should appear this exam.
