I am a s/w engg, having 3yr exp. Now I want to do preperation for all govt job
like DRDO, IAS. could you please tell me the maximum age limit to appear in these exam.

Age Limit for IAS:
You must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination.
The upper age limit is relaxed in specific cases as mentioned below:

1. upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate belongs to SC/ST.
2. upto a maximum of 3 years if the candidate belongs to Other Backward Classes.
3. upto a maximum of 3 years in the case of Defence Services personnel disabled.

DRDO is having its Own Exam know as DRDO only but IAS comes under Civil Service Exam.

DRDO !!

DRDO is a Entry for Scientist and Research, Only Few Branches are Eliigble.

They are Electronics and telecommunication, Mechanical , Computer Science , Electrical and Checmical Engineering from a Recognized University.

Note* Only students who has Secured 60% in their B.E/B.Tech are Eligible, those who have 10 point system, they must have 6.75 CGPA.

Age is Relaxed for SC/ST upto 5 years, For OBC 3 years and again 5 years for PH candidates.


IAS/Civil Services Exam !!

To become an IAS Officer One Needs to crack Civil Service Exam. So lets see the Eligibility criteria in Details.

Educational Qualification:-

Must hold a degree of any Discipline from any Recognized University.

Age Limits:-
Must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, 20XX(year of Exam),

i.e. he must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1980 and not later than 1st August, 1989.(This is For IAS 2011 & For Next year Exam it will be different )

Maximum age limit to appear for DRDO and IAS exam?

Eligibility Criteria and Age limit for IAS:-

You should have a graduate degree in any stream.
your age should be between 21-30 years of age.
Your nationality should be Indian.

Age limit for DRDO:-

1. For Scientist `C' your age should not exceed 35 years
2. For Scientist `D'and Scientist 'E' Your age should not exceed 45 years
3. For Scientist `F' your age should not exceed 50 years.

DRDO have many exam for different group and different experience people...

as per my knowledge since you are software engineer you will be coming under Scientists Entry Test (SET)

The upper age limit is 28 years.

Age relaxation:

i) Upto 05 years in case of SC/ST candidates

iii) Upto 05 years for Physically Handicapped Persons (10 years for SC/ST and 08 years for OBC candidates) in identified disciplines even if no posts are reserved for them in these areas.
iv) In case of Ex-serviceman, services rendered in the armed forces plus 3 years

Minimum education criteria = Graduate

so there is no percentage is required only pass out of final student are enough..

Is there any special exam conduct for DARDO??

there is the age limit exist within the 21-30 years for general students.
there is relaxation in the age limit of SC\ST candidates upto 5 years, and for OBC candidates (non-creamy layer), relaxation is upto 3 years.
for a maximum of 3 years in the case of Defence Services personnel disabled.

The full form of DRDO is Defense Research and Development Organization. DRDO is a PSU and if you want to get into it then you must have to crack it examination which is usually take up in month of April-May.

NOTE : DRDO exam is basically taken up for engineers, scientist, researcher and geologist.
