Re: MBA or MCA after s.y.bsc computer science?
Hello friend,
I think you should opt for an MCA as it must have a computer application background. Candidates from any stream arts, commerce or science can study MBA. Whereas to study MCA, you must have preliminary knowledge of computer application.. That is a BCA or B.Sc in computer science remains good before MCA. So between these two, you should choose MCA, as your subjects are involving this course. All the best! |

Re: MBA or MCA after s.y.bsc computer science?
Its your choice whether what you want to do. If you want to take up further studies in computer applications then you should go for MCA. Otherwise if you dont wanna go for it and want to choose other field then MBA is the best option available
So go for MBA only after you think you want to do it. Jobs in both the fields are great so chose any one which you think you are made for |

Re: MBA or MCA after s.y.bsc computer science?
3. For answering this question first of all your aim should be clear which can be decided by self counseling. So first ask your self the question “Do I love the field which I studied and want to earn further knowledge in it?” If your answer is yes then go for MCA. If your answer is no it doesn’t mean you didn’t have love your field. Your interest is some where else (MBA).
Or do the other way “Is it necessary for me to enter in to the job market now and earn money in a less span of time?” If your answer is yes for this kind of question then go for MBA. So for your question self analysis is more important think once more about your qualification your family your dream i.e., your aim and your need then take a decision. Choose a write step by analyzing it more and more. All the best. |

Re: MBA or MCA after s.y.bsc computer science?
Hi Rosylin. I have gone through your query. See, its completely depending upon you which profile you like much. I have completed MCA and currently working with a reputed MNC. Such that, I am habituated with the pattern and syllabus of the course. I am not saying that, its a tough job, but MCA is not at all matter of joke. Always keep in mind, whenever you have completed MCA, you become a Software Engineer and you have to be habituated with the latest technologies. In the case of MBA, you have to be clear, organized and careful about your nature and attitude. After all you are going to be manager & employers will be dependent on you. So, you have to choose which profile matched with your attitude. If you are eager to learn technologies in daily basis then go for MCA otherwise if you have leading qualities please please don't waste your energy in behind technology development and please go for MBA. For more query always feel free to knock me once. Hope you will be able to search the right path very soon. My best Wishes is always with you. Have a nice day. Bye.

Re: MBA or MCA after s.y.bsc computer science?
Hai,
If I had to choose for myself, I would have selected MCA because I am interested in computer applications but this doesn't mean that you too should go for the same. It all depends upon your expertise and intrest in a particular field. As long as the opportunities in a particular field is concerned, both MBA and MCA holds good value in the market. You can make great career out of any one if you are good at it. If you think you have the leadership quality and mangerial skill, you should go for MBA but than what was the need of pursuing BSc in computer science. If you have been learning about the computers, why not go for higher study in the same field and become expert. Whichever course you select, it must not be influenced by other people because the best person to decide it, is you. |

Re: MBA or MCA after s.y.bsc computer science?
Both courses have its own purpose. If you want to be in the technical side you can do an MCA and if you want to be in the management side you can go for MBA. You can select MBA Systems if you are planning to get into the IT field. The duration of the course is also different. MCA is of 3 yrs and MBA is of 2 years. So weigh the options based on your area of interest and the time that you have with you to start your career

Re: MBA or MCA after s.y.bsc computer science?
Dear friend,
After Bsc. in Computer science it will be preferable to go for MCA. Because in MBA you'll either get to choose IT or systems as a specialization. Which is altogether different from what you have already studied. So, I would suggest you to take up MCA. |

Re: MBA or MCA after s.y.bsc computer science?
Dear Friend
Both are equal Both are in demand Both high profile courses compete equally in the market Actually, MBA is sutiable for guys who have good leadership qualities, best in decision making.., MCA is for those who have techincial skill and ready to update thier knowlegde daily.., While comparing the pay scale MCA's get more then MBA's unless or otherwise MBA's work in high post. So i would say you to go for the MCA and also you did in BSc in computer application,so it will be best for you.All the best. |

Re: MBA or MCA after s.y.bsc computer science?
In my opinion you should opt for MCA. This is a much similar field and has lots of opportunities in India as well as abroad. As for MBA, candidates from all streams can join the course. It is possible for you to divert in to any type of industry with an MBA. Considering your education background doing an MCA is wiser. |

Anyone can't do anything in this matter .it depends upon you and your choice .
if you want to study about computers then you should choose MCA and if you want to study about business then you should go for MBA. you will have to study commerce part during MBA so it can cause a bit problem early .but finally again i want to say the same CHOOSE THE SUBJECT IN WHICH YOU ARE INTERESTED |

Re: MBA or MCA after s.y.bsc computer science?
Both careers are available for you and you can choose anyone between these two.But remember choose your career according to your interest only.i always suggest students to choose their career based upon their interest .
so it is on you to choose between two .prefer your interest over money . (1)if you have interest in computers and want to make career in computer then you can choose MCA(master in computer application) (2)if you want to move towards business and company ,then you can choose MBA(master in business application). always choose your interested subject only. |
