So, if you are interested to do MCA part time, then you can apply for Distance education. And If you are interested to do MCA Regular Then You can also apply for That, Because In Mumbai University MCA Programme are Availiable in Regular a well as In part time.

MCA PART-TIME Eligiblity -

Three years Post Graduate Degree Course Min. Qualification and Graduate in any faculty of a statutory University with minimum 45% marks and Mathematics at XII or higher level. Final Year Degree Students will be allowed to appear at the Entrance Test.

In Mumbai university MCA is offered as both Part time & Full time.
It's your choice to select part time or full time.

In order to apply for Full time course you should be a graduate in any discipline.A final year student can also apply.You should have 50% aggregate in graduation to get admission in Full time course for MCA.
It will require your 3 years to complete the course.
You will have to give the common entrance exam whose forms are available now.Exam will be held on 1st week of March.
Cost of form in 900 Rs approximately.
Negative marking will be there in MCA-CET.
It will consist of MCQ's related to General Aptitude & Computer Concepts.

For part time course you will have to register yourself with mumbai university which is in Kalina,Kurla.
3 years will be required to complete your course.
No Entrance test will be there.
Fees will be very less as compared to Full time.
No regular lectures will be conducted.

Full time has more value in companies then part time.

MCA is a 3 year course. In Mumbai University, MCA is offered as full time course as well as a part time course through its distance education wing. Candidates need to have more than 45 % marks in aggregate in any bachelor’s degree as to be eligible for this course. They also need to have studied mathematics or statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level. Candidates are offered admission on the basis of marks secured in the entrance test carried out by the university.

For Full time course Qualification required graduate, Final year student can also apply. Required- 50% aggregate in graduation to get admission in Full time course. It is a 3 year course.

For part time course your registration is required in Mumbai university
It is also a 3 year course. There is no entrance test for part time course.
For part time course need not to attend regular classes.

If you can do full time course it will be more useful.

part time mca means i need not attend lectures. still i will have to attain a min attendace as reqd by them. what is that min attendance %. are the classes conducted at kalina unit or mumbai univ? . does mumbai univ offer correspondance courses? what value do they have ? do people recruit them in the industry? do they get jobs for teaching comp sub in colleges? . any age limit for these mca courses. can a person of 37 yrs apply? dipali20@yahoo.com

if you are working then you can join part time otherwise you can join in regular.

Hai i am Manikandan Madhavan & i m from mumbai , actually i wanted to do mca in mumbai university i have completed my graduation in BCA but from different university that is even a distance education so is it possible for me to do MCA through mumbai university & is their entrance exam for MCA.
