Re: Minimum academic qualification required to join Pilot Training Course?
The minimum qualification required is 12th standard. Also there is a requirement that Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics should be amongst the subjects studied. Also those over 17 years of age can apply. The candidate need to select the area of interest like Commercial Pilot, IAF etc. Based on that prepare and appear for the entrance exam.

Re: Minimum academic qualification required to join Pilot Training Course?
Pilot training after B.E. ? hard to understand ! you are trying to destroy money, time and energy. it would be better to find job in engg. sector. pilot training is done after I.Sc. (pcm) but it's not an academic degree. it's a certificate to fly an aircraft.

Re: Minimum academic qualification required to join Pilot Training Course?
The procedure to become commercial pilot is quite lengthy and at the same time very expensive. It easily costs Rs. 10 to 15 lakh to become commercial pilot in India. However it is well worth the money considering the good salary and additional perks are offered to the commercial pilots by the airlines in India.
Now to become commercial pilot you will have to obtain three different licences: Student Pilot Licence (SPL) Private Pilot Licence (PPL) Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) Educational Criteria To become commercial pilot candidates are required to complete all the three stages mentioned above. The qualification requirement for Student Pilot Licence is 10th standard. But to apply for Commercial Pilot Licence, candidate must pass 12th with PCM as the subjects and at least 50 percent marks. Age Limit The minimum age limit for Student Pilot Licence (SPL) is 16 years. Age limit for Private Pilot Licence (PPL) is 17 years. Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) - 18 years. Student Pilot Licence (SPL) The first step to become commercial pilot is to obtain Student Pilot Licence (SPL). You will basically have to appear for a mathematics test which would have questions related to the aircraft. The candidates need at least 75 marks out of 100 to get the Student Pilot Licence. Private Pilot Licence (PPL) The second step would be to obtain Private Pilot Licence (PPL). Apart from written test, here for the first time you would get intructions to fly the plane. In the PPL you will be given at least 40 hours of flying training and 20 hours of solo flying experience. The test to get the Private Pilot Licence would be conducted by the Director General Civil Aviation. Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) The last stage is to obtain Commercial Pilot Licence. Each candidate is required at least 250 hours of flying experience to get commerical licence. You will also have to appear for various written exams and medical tests. |
