This is snigdha.I'm studying in BA.I want to be a journalist.As a Arts student I am confuse that is there any scope for Arts students. I want to know more about journalism,career in journalism etc.

Journalism deals with accumulation of facts and presenting them in appropriate and exclusive manner. It requires hard work and skill along with the ability to come up with a new story day in and day out and justifying it with authentic facts and figures.
To pursue a career in journalism you may opt for different level of courses which are offered by the institutes that include undergraduate level, post graduate level or masters in mass communication.
Candidate holding a bachelors degree in any stream from a recognized university can opt for Masters in Mass communication. The duration of the course in 2 years.
Beside this there are many institutes which offers short term courses in the relative field which include post graduate diploma, certificate course etc.
To be successful in this field, it requires a lot of experience. The more you will work the better you will become.
