hi,
Admissions in NIT is through AIEEE exam.
As this is govt. college the the cut off is very high.
For admissions in NIT you have to get minimum 19,000-20,000 rank.

To get a seat in a good NIT in Mechanical engineering ,you need to have marks around 40 % and rank under 15000 as then only you can get a swat in a good NIT which would help you.Mechanical Engineering is an evergreen branch and its demand is increasing as there are many options in this field after graduation.

For AIEEE criteria:-

*Candidate pass 12th science or equivalent study.
*Minimum 50% mark in 12th .

If you satisy then you eligible for AIEEE and ll get a NIT.
