Minimum marks required for qualfying JEE MAINS 2013 in each subject, particularly in maths?

i am doing my 12 th standard with PCMB . if i need to get into B tech biotechnology , what subjects are considered for the cut off marks ? is it PCM or PCB ?

Dear friend,

JEE Mains is an entrance exam that is commenced every year by CBSE for admission to NITs, IIITs, CFIs, etc.

Every year cutoff of JEE Mains Exam for admission to these institutes increases.

So, there is no certain minimum marks that is to be obtained to qualify JEE Mains Exam.

It keeps on changing every year according to difficulty level of the paper.

This year JEE Advanced Exam will also be commenced.

And only those candidates will be allowed to appear for this exam who have qualified JEE Mains Exam.

Cut off Marks for JEE Mains Candidates to qualify for JEE Advanced

GENERAL: 113 marks

OBC: 70

SC: 50

ST: 45

If you are General, you must obtain at least 113 marks to qualify JEE Mains Exam and likewise other Category Candidates.

JEE Mains Exam was commenced in month of April.

If you think you are weaker in Mathematics, then you must do better in Physics and Chemistry subjects.

Next year cut off will be different, so the cut off marks are not certain every year.

JEE refers to Joint Entrance Examination and it is the national level engineering entrance examination for admission in undergraduate technical degree course across CFTIs ( Centrally Funded Institute of Technology ) like IIT, NIT, IIIT, etc. and other private engineering colleges.

The same examination is held in two stages which includes JEE Main and JEE Advanced respectively.

As far as you are concerned about the minimum marks required in each paper of JEE Main ( i.e; in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics ) then it is 12 out of 120 marks in each paper. Along with the same your overall marks in the examination must also satisfy the minimum qualification marks for the same examination.

The minimum qualification marks for JEE Main for different category candidates are :-

(i)81 for General category (ii) 49 for OBC category,(iii) 32 for SC category,(iv) 27 for ST category and (v) 1 for PWD category candidates.
