Re: Minimum percentage required in 12th to become IAS officer?
There is no marks restriction for IAS.
Wheather, you score 40% or 90% in class 12 or Bachelor Degree or Master Degree or P.hd that does'nt matters. Educational eligibility criteria is that candidate must have only passed Graduation in any field from any recognised institute, university of India. And nothing else. However, it is fact that priyority will given to candidates with good academic background, but thats a different matter. Becoming IAS officer is directly proportional to Hard work and Talent. IF anybody have that two qualities then surely he will achieve success. Regards ~Faiyaz~ |

Re: Minimum percentage required in 12th to become IAS officer?
IAS exams can be written only after graduation and there is no cut off on marks, just a pass in the graduation exam is good enough for writing prelims by UPSC. But in the interview process, board may consider your consistency in academics as one of the evaluation criteria. So better to bring in consistent scores from 10th onwards.

Hello dear,
There are no restriction of percentage to become an IAS officer. Percentage doesn't matter in the UPSE exam. In fact not only 12th, graduation or post graduation percentage doesn't matter to becoming an IPS officer. So don't worry about percentage, prepare for it and i wish you crack it.. Just go for it....good luck!!!!! |

Re: Minimum percentage required in 12th to become IAS officer?
Firstly 12th percentage is not a criterian for eligibility in IAS exam, you first get a graduation degree then its %tage will be considered in IAS .
One more thing that %tage also vary from GEN or SC/OBC quota so you should take care of that. |
