There is no marks restriction for IAS.

Wheather, you score 40% or 90% in class 12 or Bachelor Degree or Master Degree or P.hd that does'nt matters.

Educational eligibility criteria is that candidate must have only passed Graduation in any field from any recognised institute, university of India.

And nothing else.

However, it is fact that priyority will given to candidates with good academic background, but thats a different matter. Becoming IAS officer is directly proportional to Hard work and Talent.

IF anybody have that two qualities then surely he will achieve success.

dear friend , as per my information there is no any limit of marks in +2 for appearing in IAS exam.
you have to just pass +2, then also passed in your graduation degree..
Then you are eligible for IAS entrance exam which is conducted by UPSC.
for more information kindly log in to www.upsc.gov.in

IAS exams can be written only after graduation and there is no cut off on marks, just a pass in the graduation exam is good enough for writing prelims by UPSC. But in the interview process, board may consider your consistency in academics as one of the evaluation criteria. So better to bring in consistent scores from 10th onwards.

No such demands. And you must be graduated from any recognized university for applying the CS. But an excellent academic profile will certainly help you to make a good impression about you in the interview. Also it will raise your confidence level.. Best of Luck..

Of course why not !

Minimum educational qualification is that candidate must be passed in Bachelor degree. There is niether aggregate restricion nor stream. Every year many engineering aspirants crack IAS and become also then why can not you.

There is age limit of 30 years and number of attempts per candidate is as follows- General- 3 times, OBC- 7 times, SC/ST- 5 times, however they also have age restriction extendable upto 3 years or 5 years.

Hi,

No problem about your scores in the 10th and 12th. You are eligible. But, What about your graduation. Have you pursued any?. If so, Have you passed?.

To be eligible for IAS Examination, You should have pursued a graduation degree from a recognised University and should have passed it.

So reply for these questions to get a proper suggestion.

Good Luck.

Hello dear,

There are no restriction of percentage to become an IAS officer.
Percentage doesn't matter in the UPSE exam.
In fact not only 12th, graduation or post graduation percentage doesn't matter to becoming an IPS officer.

So don't worry about percentage, prepare for it and i wish you crack it..
Just go for it....good luck!!!!!

Firstly 12th percentage is not a criterian for eligibility in IAS exam, you first get a graduation degree then its %tage will be considered in IAS .
One more thing that %tage also vary from GEN or SC/OBC quota so you should take care of that.
