Master degree or it's equivalent is the minimum educational qualification required to apply for UGC NET entrance examination. So, you need to be qualified in master degree course to be eligible for the UGC NET exam.

National Eligibility Test (NET) and this entrance examination is conducted by University Grants Commission for every year. The candidate who is aspiring to become a Lecturer, the candidate must have to appear and qualified in UGC NET entrance exam.

National Eligibility Test (NET) Eligibility Criteria:-

Educational Qualification:-

• Applicants should hold a Master's Degree from a recognized University and Applicants should have a minimum of 55% marks
• Applicants from SC / ST categories have to secure a minimum of 50% marks.
• Final year master degree students can also appear for the entrance test.

Age Limit:-

• For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF):- Applicants age not exceeding 28 years and Candidates who belong to SC /ST Category will be relaxed in age upto 5 years and Those who belong to OBC Category will be relaxed upto 3 years.
• For Lectureship:- There is no age limit.
