Re: Minimum qualification for entry in Chartered Accountant?
The minimum qualification required for admission in Chartered Accountancy course is
10+2 or equivalent qualification from a recognized board. One can register for the course when studying in 12th. After registration for the course you can apply for the 1st level of CA i.e. CPT. CPT stands for Common Proficiency Test. After qualifying the CPT you will have to qualify the 2nd level of CA which is IPCC examination (Integrated Professional Competence Course). There are two Groups in IPCC. First you will have to qualify Group-I of IPCC. (It is a 9 months course). After that you will have to go for 3 years of Practical Training (Articleship) under a qualified CA. YOu can take the Group-II exam of IPCC during the training or after completion of that. Once you qualify both the group of IPCC then you can join the CA Final course. After passing CA final course examination you will complete CA course. |

Re: Minimum qualification for entry in Chartered Accountant?
Chartered Accountant course can be pursued by any student who has completed 12th standard from a recognized board. You can complete 12th in any stream namely Arts, Commerce and Science and yet apply for the Chartered Accountancy course.
The first step is to appear for the Common Proficiency Test (CPT). This entrance exam is conducted in June and December. Any student who has completed 10th can register for it however you can only appear after completing 12th standard. There are total of 4 sections that are mentioned below: 1. Fundamentals of Accountancy 2. Economics 3. Mercantile Law 4. Quantitative Aptitude These sections are divided into 2 groups. In order to clear the Common Proficiency Test, candidate is required to score at least 30 percent marks in each group. Otherwise you will not be able to clear the entrance exam. Graduates can also apply for the Chartered Accountancy Course. However they are not necessarily required to appear for the Common Proficiency Test. If a commerce graduate has scored at least 55 percent marks then he/she is not required to appear for Common Proficiency Test and can take admission directly for the IPCC. Similarly a non commerce graduate need 60 percent marks in graduation to directly apply for the IPCC without having to appear for the Common Proficiency Test. Failing to meet the percentage requirement will mean that you will have to appear for the Common Proficiency Test. |

Re: Minimum qualification for entry in Chartered Accountant?
Minimum Qualification for giving CPT (Common Proficiency Test) is 10+2 passed .
In CPT you have to get atleast 50% marks to qualify it. After you qualify CPT then you can register youself for IPCC. Those who are commerce Graduate with 50% marks are exempted from CPT and can directly apply for IPCC. Those who are Non Commerce Graduate with 60% marks are also exempted from CPT and can directly apply for IPCC. Hence you can proceed according to your qualification. If you are 12th pass then you have to give CPT. So apply for CPT through the official website. CPT is conducted 2 times in a year. You have to study well to get through CPT. CA CPT will have questions from following subjects: -Fundamentals of Accounting -Mercantile Laws -General Economics -Quantitative Aptitude For more information Click Here |
