Hi, I am currently pursuing +2 in NIOS. I want to know whether it is approved by abroad universities for higher studies. If it's so please list some universities .

NIOS stands for National Institute of Open Schooling.

*NIOS conducts examination for 10th and 10+2. This board is recognized and approved by Ministry of Human Resource Development and Central government for board examinations.

*Its marksheet and certificate is valid for admission in India as well outside India. Countries like Australia, United States of America, United Kingdom etc recognize this board certificate for admission.

Yes ,National Institute of Open Schooling is recognised certificate by most of the universities in Abroad as well as in India but very few renowned universities do not recognise this certificate of National Institute of Open Schooling. So I would like to suggest you to apply for those abroad universities in which this certificate is recognised otherwise you will be in a great problem. So make sure before applying.

NIOS is National Institute of Open Schooling. Ministry of HRD and Central Government of India has approved this board of education for conducting board exams at secondary and higher secondary approval.

This board is not blacklisted by foreign universities. Candidates who want to pursue bachelor's degree from abroad can go for admission in foreign universities with NIOS certificates.

Candidates who have completed their 10+2 study from NIOS Board are equally eligible to study anywhere whether it is in India or in Abroad as candidate who have completed 12th standard from CBSE/ICSE or any other State Board. But there are some universities who does not accept NIOS certificate for admission to a particular course. But if you have appeared for IELTS test and scored a very good marks then on the basis of the IELTS examination you can get admission in any of the reputed university in Aboard.

University of California

Keele University, UK

Stanford University

New York University

Chicago University

St. John University, Paris Campus etc.

As far as you are worried about its recognition then you must not be because it is one of the three Central board of education of India other than the CBSE and ICSE and hence there is no question of its recognition at different places whether it is for jobs or admissions.

Recently Mci has stopped the nios studied students from receiving eligibility certificate for TSMU Georgia. Does this mean that the student won't get the admission even to practice medicine in Europe?

I want to do bcom after passing from on demand examination from NIOS Is it possible to study abroad?
