Re: Number of seats in IIMS for ST candidate? What is the cutoff marks for admission?
IIM refers to Indian Institute of Management and these are best business schools of India offering admission in MBA degree course through CAT.
CAT stands for Common Aptitude Test and it is entrance examination held by different IIMs following a rotation policy for admission in IIMs. As per the constitution of India allows reservation of ST category candidates in admission in government colleges and hence here also 7.5% of total seats in each of the 19 IIMs are reserved for ST category candidates which means around 315 seats out of 4100 seats are reserved for ST category candidates. Also as per the last year percentile cutoffs for getting a call for PI ( Personal Interview ) being a ST category candidate you need to secure at least 50 percentile in each of the three sections of CAT paper. But for getting admission in top IIMs your aggregate must be even more than 60 percentile which in case of general category candidates is around 90 percentile. For more details about CAT and its last year cutoff percentile score you can refer to the link www.iimcat.ac.in. |
