Sir, I am going to apply for NEET 2017. For admission process when should I apply for NC-OBC certificate. If I get the certificate now (September 2016), is it valid during admission for 2017-18 academic year. Please explain

You have got OBC NC certificate, So you can apply for NEET exam 2017 as an OBC candidate.

Those candidates who have completed 12th standard from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subject are eligible for NEET exam 2017. At 10+2 level you need to secure minimum 50% of marks in physics, chemistry and biology taken together. Your minimum age should be 17 years.

NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test.
It is conducted by CBSE as a replacement for AIPMT(All India Pre Medical Test) and all other individual MBBS entrance examination by state or private university.

OBC stands for Other Backward Caste.
OBC certificate is used to avail reservation benefits.
OBC certificated is issued to those who belong non-creamy layer backward caste.
You need to make a non-creamy layer certificate to apply for OBC certificate.
Since, non-creamy and creamy layer certificate is prior to change in every financial year as non-creamy layer certificate is given to person of those families whose income in last 3 financial year is less than 4.5 Lac.
So, validity of OBC certificate in most organization is one financial year.
After every financial year, non-creamy layer certificate must be renewed.

If any candidate belong to creamy layer should fill their category as "General" and they will not be able to avail reservation facilities.

So, you need to make new OBC certificate in 2017 in order to avail reservation benefits for admission in 2017-18.

The validity of the OBC certificate Non Creamy Layer is just one year. OBC certificate has to be renewed each year. But, as you get it in September 2016 then you can use it to apply for NEET 2017 because till than the time limit of one year will not be completed.

Only candidates whose father or parents annual income is less than 4.5 lakhs will get OBC Non creamy layer certificate.

One can renew the certificate by applying for it at the district office of one's city or district. For that, one should deposit the income certificate along with the application to renew the certificate. Normally new certificate is issued within two weeks of application.

I belong to the state where i fall under backward class. In my state there is no classification such as Creamy layer /non creamy layer.

But on my neet registration and admit card there is only written OBC as category not Obs ncl

For OBC certificate Non Creamy layer Eligibility, his father/mother salary/ agricultural income will not count for income limit. So, Gr.C employees getting any salary even if more than 10 lakhs, his wards are eligible for OBC Non Creamy layer Certificate. So, Please don't confuse the students that having income above 4.5/6 lakhs will not get OBC NC certificate. Salary income/Agricultural income shall not be considered for OBC NC certificate.

NC OBC certificate is mandatory for online submission of Neet Mbbs or required while counselling. Kindly clarify for me. Since I am a low income NRI any salary certificate required from my employer for getting NC OBC certificate from Village office
