So i need to re-new my obc certificate. I want to know what all documents or procedure r required for this re-new purpose?

I m a domicile from Haryana and obc certificate is also from Haryana.

You can visit your block or Tehsil and write an application for "name correction in OBC certificate". You need to attach documents like:

>>Your existing OBC certificate.

>>Income certificate of your parents.

>>Identity Proof and Address.

It will take 2-3 days to get new certificate containing correct name.

You take some educational certificate or some other authentic document like ration card with you and submit a copy of same with your application for correction in name and issue of the corrected certificate. If your documents are in order you will get a corrected copy of caste certificate in a few days.

You have to follow the following step for correction of name on your OBC certificate.
1. Write an application to SDM of your Tehsil or block mentioning about the correction of your name.
2. For supporting of your name you have to submit the document in which name is correctly written like 10th marksheet.
After approval of your application it will take 5 to 7 working days for the correction.
You can download your amended certificate from the official website.
Hope this information will help you.

Indians are divided in to some particular castes, such as Scheduled Castes (ST), Official Backward Classes (OBC), and General Category. (G). It is important to have a caste certificate for an individual for it defines the status and the divisions are based on the annual income of the family and the region of their roots. One can only have a caste certificate issued by the state he/she belongs to and that individual cannot apply for caste certificate in any other state. This article will guide you through the steps to apply for an OBC certificate online.

Before applying for the certificate one must know that OBC certificate has two sub categories- the OBC Creamy Layer and the OBC Non-Creamy Layer.

Creamy layer is the relatively better off (economically) group within the OBCs, as per the official classification, the sons and daughters of a person (belonging to an OBC) with gross annual income of 6 Lakh INR or above belong to the OBC Creamy Layer while the Non-Creamy layer is the worse off group. People belonging to OBC Creamy Layer are not eligible to avail the benefits of reservation entitled to other OBC categories. They are treated like general category candidates.

Once you have made sure what category do you belong, then the next step is applying for the form. Today, only some of the states offer online application to apply for the caste certificate. You should visit the respective state's Official Backward Class Welfare Department portal.
