In iit exam there are two papers are held .in first exam most of questions are from 12th and in second exam most of questions are from 11th.total %age of 12 is 60% and 11 is 40%

dear friend,
in iit jee exam, 60% of the paper comes from 11th class syllabus and 40% of the paper comes from 12th class but they can change this weightage anytime. you must prepare from NCERT books of both 11th and 12th class as most of the paper comes from those books

Hi,
If you are looking at syllabus from the curriculum of 11th & 12th it will be less. Around 30%. As IIT is mostly based on application of the concepts, you cannot expect direct questions to appear in the exam. Plus you need to refer a lot of books apart from your curriculum text books. You can begin with the Agarwal series.

in iit jee the ratio of percentage of question asked from class 11th and 12 th is between 35-40% to 60-65% respectively.

quite a interesting question well i think you can expect anything between The JEE syllabus of class 11th and 12th is up to 45% and 55% of the IIT JEE question papers.
but it seems they change the ratio by 40% ot 60% also
so i can say you take an average

so do prepare accordingly

IIT take two exams . Both exams cosists of 11th and 12th questions .overall percentage off 12th questions is 45% and 11th is 45%.

I think that in IIT JEE there are 60% question is from 11th
and rest 40% question is from 12th class. The syllabus of
IIT JEE is given in the prospectus. Please see the prospectus.

you know 11th is the base of 12th and if you not read very well 11th and it is not possible you understood 12th deeply.............

but there is syllabus from 11th is 40% and from 12th is 60% but you can't find who is the question from 11th and 12th..........................

because you know this is for 2yrs. and he can ask from anywhere that't why please read seriously and qualify IIT...........................

The syllabus of Class 11th & 12th contributes about 45% and 55% of IIT-JEE question paper respectively.

First of all Focus should be on class 12th topics & then revise class 11th topics.

From the syllabus you will hardly get 50 to 60% questions.
But the all the concepts are from your text book.
In my opinion you should follow your text book because my brother had got iit by studying the CBSE text books only.

every year the pattern of iit jee paper changes
almost every year marks distribution , number of questions , cut off in particular subject changes
even it cannot be said how many questions you will get from class 11 or class 12

In Haliday Resnic Walker the physics portion has Schroodinger's Equation. This is not mentioned in the Syllabus. Does that mean i don't have to do it?

Everyone seems to be using Haliday Resnic Walker. The book has some extra things like Schroodinger's Equation which has not been mentioned in the syllabus. Does this mean I don't have to study it?

IIT-JEE is an Engineering Entrance Exam that is conducted jointly by IITs that's why it is called Joint Entrance Exam.
It is a top level exam and also considered as the toughest engineering exam in India.
Equal no. of questions are from Class 11 and 12. But sometimes there is some imbalance between the no. of questions from Class 11 and sometimes from Class 12. However, you have to study both classes notebooks (especially NCERT) thoroughly.
Last year, 60% questions were from Class 11 and 40% from Class 12.

I'm in my 11th in state board. Can you tell me if the 11th board marks count for the eligibility for writing the IIT 2014? Or only the 12th board percentage?
