sir I want know how many times we can write this exam.? sir now I'm studying in 5th sem so suggest some books to prepare for GATE

there is no special books for GAtE you have read your Btech material throughly for preparing GATE

GATE is an exam based on specific branches..sp you need to mention your brnch ...for common subjects like maths you can follow krezig and for general apptitude you can follow the RS Aggarwala..

yes you can apply for the GATE exam and in future you can aplly for this exam as many times you want to attempt there is no limited attempt but your sscore card will valid for the two years
andfor the preparation you can buy material available for all the branches

The books for writing GAte you can refer to Upkar publication they provide gateway to suiccess

dear friend,

There is no age limit for appearing GATE.as you did not mention your stream of engineering so I suggest you first read your text care fully.from 3rd,4th and present semester subjects are more important for gate.read them and try to solve MCQ from different books.

There are so many publications and authors for GATE book. It depends on the course what you do. Here I ll suggest you a book called "GATE" by RK Kanodia[/B][/B]. In this book, they provide all the previous solve paper and explain in details of different kinds of problem.
Or you can go for Shakthi publications.

if you want to practice the objectives asked in gate, then you can go for GATE by G.K.Publishers and also GATE by R.K.Kanodia...
but for through out knowledge of the subject you should refer to the books which you are refering in your B.E/B.tech or relevent branch....

well books by G.k publisher are good but in my opinion you should study from the notes of made easy they are very useful in cracking gate.
