Re: Is it possible to do Aeronautical Engineering after the completion of 10th?
Hello,
Aeronautical Engineering is one of the most demanding stream in the field of engineering with some very bright prospects in fields like Aviation,Defence Systems etc. However inorder to pursue this very course you need to be 10+2 or some equivalent examination and with some fair percentage. You can appear in various Engineering entrance examination conducted by the states as well as the IITs(Joint Entrance Examination)and the AIEEE through which you can get addmission into your dream course provided you get some good score. So please concentrate on your 11th & 12th studies so that you can get good percentage thus helping you in relishing your dream. Good Luck. |

Re: Is it possible to do Aeronautical Engineering after the completion of 10th?
It is not possible to do Aeronautical Engineering after the completion of 10th.
CAREER IN AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING Eligibility: 10 + 2 Science; high percentage of marks in Science subjects and qualifying exam (JEE) To be an aeronautical engineer one should be a BE/B.Tech. in aeronautics. The Madras Institute of Technology offers a year postgraduate programme in aeronautical engineering for B.Sc. students. One can also study for M.Tech. and Ph.D. in aeronautics from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Those who have passed the Associate membership exam conducted by ASI (Aeronautical Society of India), which is at par with a bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering, can also become aeronautical engineers. The Aeronautical Society of India - http://www.aesi-hyd.com/ All the best for you i am glad to help you |

Re: Is it possible to do Aeronautical Engineering after the completion of 10th?
Hii...
As far as i know,, for aeronautical engg from any institute, you need to have completed your +2(in science stream). I would suggest you not to go for a shortcut ..concentrate on your Higher secondary courses and then appear for entrance exams like IIT ,AIEEE.. One more thing...if you have decided to do engg in Aeronautical field..then it is highly recommended that you do that from a reputed institue like IIT.. So you need to work hard for that ..give yourself couple of years time ,study +2 properly and then chase your dreams... All the best!! |

no dear, only 10th level is not sufficient....you have to do 12th standard with the science & maths.
after this you are able to give the enterance exam. then you have a seat in a college. |

You can apply for aeronautical engineering but you can only apply for the Diploma in aeronautical engineering. As you have only completed 10th,doing Diploma in Aeronautical engineering is only possible. The duration of the course is 3 years. If you are interested in doing B.E in Aeronautical Engineering, then you can join in the 2nd year directly if you had finished your Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering. You my come up with topics such as Structural Design, Navigational Guidance and Control Systems, Instrumentation and Communication or Production Methods or it can be in a particular product such as Military Aircrafts, Passenger Planes, Helicopters, Satellites, Rockets etc in the course. All the best. |

Re: Is it possible to do Aeronautical Engineering after the completion of 10th?
dear friend,
No, you can not take admission in aeronautical engineering after 10th.. For that you have to first complete your 12th with physics , chemistry and maths as your optional subjects.. After completion of 12th you have to appear in entrance exams like- IIT-JEE , AIEEE, etc.. If you able to qualify the exam then you will get a chance to take admission in aeronautical engineering.. So, prepare yourself to crack the exam.. Try to perform well in that exam, because depending on your score card in that exam you will get admission through counseling.. All the best. |

Re: Is it possible to do Aeronautical Engineering after the completion of 10th?
It is not possible to do aeronautical engineeringafter 10th... To become a aeronautical engineer you must at least have a degree in b.e/b.tech or at least a diploma in aeronautics.aeronautical engineering is a good course to study and the duration for it is 4 years and if you are doing it in diploma, then you can finish it in 2-3 years duration.
The basic criteria for b.e or b.tech in aeronautics is you must have scored fairly high percentage in 10th and +2.you must also pass the jee entrance exam conducted by the iit's.most of the engineering courses in aeronautics see the jee exam score. Some of the major entrance examinations are iit-jee, aieee, bitsa iit jee, keam, jnu eee, viteee, gcet etc after satisfying the eligibilityu criteria ,then you are required to give entrance exam like iit-jee or aieee for best colleges., best of luck.. |

As per my knowledge you go for B.tech not for diploma So that you may get good job after passing the B.Tech course. So firstly pass 12th with minimum 50% marks in physics, maths and chemistry. After that apply for entrance exam so that you may get top college in Indian. ALL THE BEST! |

Re: Is it possible to do Aeronautical Engineering after the completion of 10th?
No, you cannot become an Aeronautical engineer after 10th standard. 12th qualification is required.
* To appear for aeronautical engineering you have to write AIEEE(All India Engineering Entrance Examination) and IT JEE(Join Entrance Exam) exam. * Candidates should complete 12th from a recognized institute. * Candidates should get 50% at 12th. * Candidates should study physics, maths and chemistry as subject. * If you passed exam then you will get top most colleges like 1. Indian Institute of Technology 2. Indian institute of aeronautical engineering 3. Punjab Engineering college 4. Anna University 5. Madras Institute of Technology 6. National Institute of Technology 7. Anna university Best wishes |

Re: Is it possible to do Aeronautical Engineering after the completion of 10th?
After class 10 you can only go for diploma courses. After that you will be forced to do the full time course because diploma holders finds it difficult to find a decent job.
So i would recommend you to give your class 12 exam first and then give the joint entrance exam to study aeronautical engineering. You can apply for aeronautical engineering if you have 50% marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics taken together. If you are a diploma holder in mechanical or aeronautical engineering, then also you can apply for this course. The duration of this course is 4 years. You can give the following exams to study this subject:- AIEEE CEE SET IIA IISAT Following are the top aeronautical engineering colleges in India:- Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh IIT, Chennai IIT, Kharagpur Manipal University IIT, Bombay Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh Madras Institute of Technology, Chennai Academy of Aerospace & Aviation, Indore Indian Institute of Aeronautical Engineering, Dehradun |

Re: Is it possible to do Aeronautical Engineering after the completion of 10th?
You cannot do any engineering course directly after 10th as you will have to do intermediate first and score atleast 60% marks in science stream to be eligible for the various state and national level entrance exams for engineering.Aeronautical engineering is available in most of the IITs for admission into which you will have to give the IIT JEE exam after 12th.It is considered the toughest exam to crack and requires lot of effort. Also there is the Aeronautical Society of India(AeSI) which provides membership for students. It has two sets of levels A and B upon completion of which you will be provided with AMAeSI(Associate Membership) which is equivalent to B.E./B.Tech from any recognized university. Also there is SOA(school of Aeronautics),Palam,IIAE(Indian Institute of Aeronautical Engineering),Dehradun,Anna university,Punjab university and other private universities offering 4 years courses in Aeronautical engineering. But all require a minimum of 60% in intermediate.
