The minimum percentage required to pursue Bachelor of Education [B.Ed] program from any of the recognized University through regular mode is a aggregate of 50% in the Bachelors or/and Masters Degree [45% for reserved candidates]. The duration of the program is one academic year. Admission is either through entrance test or merit of marks obtained in the qualifying examination, whatever be the admission criteria of the University/Institute or College of concern.

Candidate who seeks to pursue B.Ed through distance/correspondence mode, must have completed the Degree from a recognized University. The percentage required in the qualifying examination, if there is any, is 45%. However, the other admission criteria is a candidate must be presently working as a Teacher in a recognized School along with having a minimum of two years of Teaching experience.

There are various recognized University offering B.Ed through distance mode. Following are the list of some of them:

Indira Gandhi National Open University

Kurukshetra University

Maharshi Dayanand University

Punjabi University

Annamalai Universsity
