Dear friend you know PSU is a royal job in INDIA and this is very good job........

But this is totally depend on you in which you want to go because if you go in any core company then you can get promotion easily...............

for the ECE students the PSU's are most suitable because in the telecom job you will not get acceptable salary and facilities but all these you can find in all the PSU's
now days psu's are high payee salary companies in the india after the 6th pay
and also for the ECE student there psu's like
JTO
BSNL
MTNL
these are best core psu's for the ECE students

Do programming related questions ask in TATA steel technical test,if the student belongs to B.tech(ece)?

I will suggest you to go for PSU's rather than core field jobs..

As in PSU jobs are more secure than any other job..

Also you will have comfort , and lots of facilities..
