Gate examination is conducted by Indian Institute of Science and Indian Institute of Technology Once in a year .

-->> Candidate having the graduate degree in engineering / architecture / technology from a recognized University or equivalent qualification .

-->> Graduate who are appearing in the final year of degree course may also eligible to apply for this examination .

-->>There is no minimum marks required for this examination and minimum pass marks enough to appear for this examination .

-->> Pre-final year candidates are not eligible to apply for this examination.
