In order to become Company Secretary, you will need to follow the procedure mentioned below:

Register for the Foundation Program anytime during a year as the registration is open throughout the year. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India do not conduct any entrance examination, nor there is any percentage criteria or restrictions regarding the stream you followed in the +2 level. Once you complete the Foundation Program, you will move on the next level known as Executive Program. After completion of the Executive Program and qualifying the examination, you will have to enroll for the Professional Program as well as for Management Training. The duration of the Management Training is three years. After successful completion of the Professional Program as well as Management Training, you will be enrolled as a member of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India and will thereafter be able to practice the profession.

Stages in CS course

Foundation course.

If you have complete your graduation then you can go for the intermediate course there is no restriction in the area of bachelor course.

If you are from Science you are also eligible.

One option available is to collect the prospectus and the application form directly from the ICSI office in Delhi.

You will need to make a cash payment of Rs 100/-. Another option is to send a demand draft in favor of the institute.

The demand draft should be for Rs. 150/- payable at Delhi.

Intermediate course

After qualifying the intermediate course you have to go for the final level

Final level

Here you will have the personnel interview
